Sunset. All you saw was a sunset. As your eyes began to open, you wondered what dream you had entered tonight.

You realized that you were sitting, overlooking a lake as the sun began to set below the horizon. There were colorful clouds that sat within a sky of blended colors of orange, yellow, and pink. It was so surreal, you couldn't take your eyes off it. You almost thought that you died and ended up in heaven for a minute.

But that thought subsided as you looked down to see what you were sitting on and noticed that it was what seemed like a pier. You stared down at your pajama shorts, noticing that everything felt a little too real. You could feel the wooden pier underneath you, your hands could feel the rough surface of the wood as they laid by your sides.

You didn't know how your dreamt up this place because you had never seen anything like this or thought of anything like this.

And then you heard something shift next to you. And as you looked up, that's when you saw him.

The one person who always visited your dreams, was here again. His body sat on the edge of the pier, just like you, a white tee on with some black basketball shorts. His hands in his lap, as his eyes looked away from you.

"Bo"

His head swiftly turned around and his wide eyes were all you could see. And as his amber eyes met yours, all you could wonder was why he was so shocked.

"Y/n?", he said hesitantly.

"Yea?", you said calmly with a look of confusion.

"Are you real?", he asked, eyes eagerly waiting for a response.

"What you mean?", you asked, confused on why he would ask that in your dream. Of course, you were real, but not exactly real inside this dream.

"Is this a dream or is this all real?", he asked, still waiting for his own desired answered.

"I'm real, but you not", you said.

"No, but I'm real", he emphasized, holding his hand up to his chest and grasping his shirt.

You took a second to look back down, reevaluating this 'so called dream'. Most of your dreams with the two of you were just you guys going on dates. But, this was different. Everything felt too real. Your usual dreams were never this clear, they were always like a haze, a little cloudy.

You were never able to physically feel anything. You were never able to hear your own heartbeat or feel the breath in your lungs. But now it was different. It was like you travelled with your physical body.

'Did I shift?', you thought, as ideas swam through your mind.

'No, I didn't script anything... but how?', you thought.

"Y/n", he interrupted, "I think this is real, I think we are real".

"Nah bro there's no way, it can't be possible, you're just a fictional character from my favorite anime", you blurred out, shaking your head at how ridiculous this sounds.

"But your a fictional character from my tv show", he said slowly confused.

"HUH??", you shouted, your head shooting up to face him.

"Wait tell me everything you know", you demanded.

He looked forward at the sky and said, "Well... your name is y/n l/n, you are in (x) grade at (xxxxxx) high school. Mia is the main character of the show, and you are the side character who received a letter from her about the crush she had on you years ago, but now you guys are best friends. On the last episode that aired tonight, you and Mia had a math test that you were both stressed over and you said, 'bro I thought I almost died'. Need anything more?". Cocking his head back to look at you.
