Sub-Region 1

This small tidal saltwater marsh is around 90 miles from North to South, and roughly 148 miles across from East to West, covering a total of 13,320 square miles. From afar, at ground level, the marsh appears to be a flat plain covered in small tufts of grass. The marsh itself is relatively flat and smooth. The area is home to a wide range of different plants and animals. 14 species of large predators make their home here, including 7 water-dwelling species. Between the pools and deep channels, the land is full of hidden bumps and ditches, making travel on foot incredibly difficult. Even during low tide, the water is high enough for boats to sail through.


Sapient Beings

Uysik

A tiny, humanoid amphibian with an oval head, two sky blue compound eyes, mouse-like ears, an angular nose, and an indented jaw filled with small, sharp teeth. It has an elegant neck, and six short, muscular arms that end in small paws. The Uysik has a skeletal torso with a wasp waist. It also has eight small, useless wings. It has two medium-length, bony legs with short stubs for toes. The Uysik has no tail. The Uysik's head, neck, shoulders and arms are covered in delicate skin, while the rest of its body has more leathery skin. Most of its body is dark purple with black spirals, while the rest is green-blue.

They have complicated mating displays. Uysik family groups consist of 1 male, up to 30 females and all of their resulting offspring. All young males of breeding age are forced out of the family by their father.

- The Uysik has remained unchanged since ancient times.



Sub-Region 2

This small tidal freshwater marsh is around 302 miles from North to South, and roughly 160 miles across from East to West, covering a total of 48,320 square miles.

From afar, at ground level, the marsh appears to be just a regular field. The marsh itself is relatively flat and smooth with obscured channels and deep pools.

The area is home to hundreds of different plants and animals. 4 species of large predators make their home here, including 1 water-dwelling species.

Between the pools and deep channels, the land is raised and fairly even, making travel across it fairly easy. The channels are wide but shallow, and only skilled sailors can traverse them without getting stuck.

Rare gems can be found deep within the marsh.


Sub-Region 3

This river travels 5,971 miles from its source to the sea. It is 22 miles wide at its widest point and 78 feet at its deepest.

The water is cold, sometimes murky and blue, and it flows rapidly with powerful undercurrents for the most part, making it potentially deadly for swimmers.

Fish are common, making it a suitable place for fishermen, and the local plants and wildlife are abundant.

The Greater Seqq Som

Appearance

A tiny, tauric avian with an elongated head, ten complex, dull orange eyes, elephantine ears, and a top-heavy beak. It has a giraffe-like neck, broad shoulders, and two medium-length, muscular arms. It has a masculine chest, with a concave stomach, a banded waist and an oval lower body, and six large, stumpy wings. It has two slender forelegs with two forward-facing hooks, two fragile back legs with blunt stubs for feet, and a powerful tail. The Seqq Som's head, neck, shoulders and back are covered in large feathers, while the rest of its body is covered in wispier feathers. It has the markings of a zebra in grey and green-blue.
