Mordecai finally awoke from the branch of the giant tree from the sounds of thunder coming from the dark gray clouds, he couldn't tell if it was early or late because of how dark and cold the world looked all around him.
He climbed down and while walking through the forest he remembered the times he spent with Twilight when they would pick apples from trees together and make apple juice or when a small walk in the night would turn into her falling asleep on his shoulder in a field. He never imagined something like this would ever happen, he still couldn't believe it, nothing more was on his mind than her and the sweet raspberry smell from her hair. He started to let out small droplets of tears just thinking of losing her forever, and never seeing her again but he immediately stopped. He had to keep hope that she was still out there, waiting for him.
While still walking in the forest he could hear chatter but he didn't know where it was coming from. He started running through the giant trees and kept shouting for the person talking to follow his voice. Every move and every turn he made he couldn't find a single person until he saw a flashing light straight ahead from him and the closer he got the brighter the light got, eventually he made it to the end but out of breath from running he fell to the ground.
He felt himself stand up and when he turned around he saw a crowd of people helping him up. When he asked them where he was and who they were, the people told him that he was in a village named AppleVille. He was happy he wasn't alone for once and explained to everyone that he was looking for Twilight.
The people looked stunned and told him they had seen here and that she had left the night before.
