Just a normal day for the people of Berk, nothing new was happening. Stoick, A chief, with great power, wanted to find his son to begin his Chief training. The long battle with Viggo and his hunters may have caused peace or that is what he thought. Every time he thinks about his son it kills him. Knowing that there were flaws, no, not even that there were many mistakes he told his son. His son, Hiccup, would soon find out that he is more than he knows. Finally, he saw Hiccup up in the sky with his dragon flying away. A dragon. The enemy for years and killed many friends and family members. Hiccup found a way to stop what Vikings started or did he? His mother was taken from him at a young age but he remembers what his mother told him in the fire. " Hiccup, my son, you are more valuable to the evil that waits in your midst than you know. Find another way to the peace you are assigned to. I Love you, my son. Please I beg you do what you love and nothing else. Live your life the way your destiny tells you! Goodbye, my beautiful son!" A part of Hiccup still remembers the burning wood and high fire. The beams burning with ease. His mother backed against the wall. Ever since she told him that he has a destiny he always thought it was with dragons. It has been a struggle trying to get him to understand that he is a Viking and nothing else.
LATE EVENING DURING DINNER IN GREAT HALL
' We need to have a meeting' thought Stoick. " Where is Hiccup?" asked Stoick to Gobber. Now, Gobber was the blacksmith in the shop where he works. Gobber basically raised Hiccup when Stoick felt weak or couldn't do it. " I aiin't seeeen tha kiddd forr haooours!" a very drunk Gobber said back. Hiccup reminded Stoick so much of Valka, Hiccup's mother. Stoick got up to search for his son. ' Why can't he be with his people more and not with these stupid creatures' Stoick thought. All he wanted was for his son to be a Viking. He tried so hard to get his son to listen to him and understand how bad he felt for what had happened three no four years ago. It caused Stoick, pain when his son came up with the idea to go out beyond the boundaries of the Barbaric Archipelago. Stoick knew that Hiccup would wander out farther than he wanted and find more dragons. No, he would find more people and he would forget about Berk and about Hiccup's people. That idea made him shudder. The fact that Stoick's brain would even think about his son leaving him again just hurt him. He knew that if he sent Astrid with his son she could keep him at bay. Having her with him would focus his eyes on her and no other girl. Stoick wanted Hiccup and Astrid to fall in love and be together. At least he would be reminded of these people and no one else. 'I lost my wife to those dragons and I will not lose my son too' Stoick thought. Then, at that right moment, a loud bird-like noise was heard. Stoick looked up to see Astrid on Stormfly. " Hey, chief! How are ya?" she asked. " I am fine. Just looking for my son that is all. Have you seen him?" asked Stoick " No I am sorry chief I have not seen him today. I was worried and about to come to ask you if you have seen him recently." she answered back? Now, both Astrid and Stoick were confused nor he or she have seen Hiccup. Hiccup is the type to go out and find danger. Hiccup wanted to stop false beliefs about dragons and bring peace to the world. But Stoick, Berk, Astrid, and everyone had other plans. " Ask around! I want to know where Hiccup is and what he was doing! Someone has to know what this kid is doing or where he is."
Stoick had this boiling anger deep inside of him. He hated when these things would happen. His son go missing again and again almost like it was a day-to-day thing. Stoick knew it was going to be a struggle to keep his son contained in this life. Odin, help him if it ever works. He always told his son to stay close to home so he can come running to him when the beast came to get him. Now, Hiccup goes off training dragons and fighting off the evil. Evil. What Valka was scared of. She always thought Hiccup was part of something great in this world. Her trying to discover what shouldn't be discovered is what got her killed. It was hard for Stoick to admit that the way Valka saw dragons and their beauty was true. They were creatures in this world and the one after. How could Odin make such a beautiful creature only for men to hate them? It will always be hidden why they thought that at first. Stoick runs off to find his son and leaves his son's betrothed behind to follow. Stoick ran to the cove and back. To every beach and back. He couldn't find his son anywhere which begs the question ' Where is the Heir to Berk and where did he run off to.' That was a normal question for people of Berk to ask. Not knowing either if he is dead or alive well it would be the first time people thought he was dead. Everyone searched to Island and the underground tunnels. Not even the Gang of Dragon Riders knew where he was. Worries flooded through Stoick's head. Losing his son would mean failing Valka. NO. He can't fail Val not now not ever. Everyone searched not a soul found him. Stoick, as chief, grounded all dragons tell Hiccup was found.
No one found him not even one. It caused a lot of people to think this kid of his was on the run. Running in a circle and not finding his son made him stressed and want to run, hide, or made just FIND HIS STUPID SON! Now, Hiccup was a smart kid. Very smart kid. He managed to outsmart Viggo and all of the Hunters in the final battle. ' That stupid dragon! Stealing my son from me! How could I let that happen?' Stoick thought. " CHIEF! WE FOUND SOMETHING!!!" Horlaf yelled to Stoick from halfway across the island. Little did they know this is going to be something completely new. Knew to man.
