Chapter 2: PROPAGANDA

I heard Gobber yell to me from halfway across the island. I ran. I ran as fast as I could. I lost my wife, I can't lose my child too. I got there to where Gobber was standing. I dropped to my knees understanding that the son I once had was gone. A pile of black and gold as was sitting there with my sons riding stuff caught on a branch. I pulled down what was left of my son. In my hands was my son's shirt. I felt sad, discouraged, and angry. 'How could he be so stupid to leave and not tell anyone? I lost my child' Stoick thought. He carried the last piece of the cloth back to the village. A crowd came to see what he had found. Sadness washed over the village. The Gang of Hiccup's 'Friends' Felt sadness. Stoick has to send out to the rest of the villages about the death of Berks's heir. This feeling of blaming someone for his death. Everyone wants to know what happened to the young man. Every Viking knows that dragons' fire can kill humans. What about Toothless? "He could have saved Hiccup but why didn't he do it? I mean Hiccup and Toothless are best Friends! Toothless would never leave Hiccup alone hurt endlessly He has to." Fishlegs suggested as Him, The Gang, Gobber, and Stoick all sat in the Great Hall late that night. " He has a point when you think about it. What if they were attacked? Hiccup's shirt could have got torn off as they were getting away! We have no proof that he's dead at all!" Heather said. " Yeah, H is right Hiccups alive I saw him last night!" Tuff decided to finally put in a two cents. " WHAT! ARE YOU KIDDING ME! YOU SAW HIM AND YOU DIDN'T TELL ANYONE THIS?" Astrid yelled. The whole group is picking up what Tuffnut was putting down.  Astrid was crying the whole time. Having been told that her fiance was dead. The only person who knew about the secret behind Hiccup and Astrid's relationship is Daggur.  " He told me not to tell anyone. HE found something out there that caught his attention so he is going to find it. That Is what the great Tuff, himself  was told." Tuff added with a shrugged. The Tuff, pulled out a piece of paper Hiccup has given him before he left :

Dear Father, Gobber, and Gang,

I have found something amazing. Toothless and I went out for a late-night flight when we got attacked by this dragon. It was all white and just like Toothless. It could cloak so no one can see it. Toothless and I found out it was a female Night Fury! This is the beginning of the Night Fury race being saved! We followed the Dragon that I named "Light Fury" to her home. You won't believe the dragons I found. They are beyond beautiful. They gladly accepted Toothless and me. There was a person on the Light Fury! There are three people with me as I write this to you. They are one boy and two girls! You won't believe who I found! People who were supposed to be dead but they ain't dead! I found Mom and Oswald!!! There was another man with them. Father, there is so much out there. I can't wait to share it with you all. Fishlegs, you will faint once you see the dragon Oswald and the other dude has.  The other person is a girl by the name of Nahma. She is my age! Her dragon is the Light Fury!!! The light fury's name is Luna. I convinced them to come back with me. I promise I'm okay. I have something to talk to you about. I need you to contact every chief in our alliance. This is bigger than just Berk. I have many ideas for Berk.

" I am going to kill him. I can't believe he would go out without backup! This is stupid! How do we even know it's actually them. I can't believe he would just leave! I- ASTRID STOP!" Astrid is about to continue this rant if Stoick wouldn't have stopped her from doing so. Everything was happening at once. Hiccup going out and finding people who might not want to be found. What is supposed to happen now? Stoick thought 'If Hiccup figures out what happened in the past, all the Berk would lose their Chief. Astrid would lose her husband and I would lose my son. I lost my wife! I thought and images run through my mind on replay every day. I look at my son to see her eyes staring back into mine. Valka, died believing in something that couldn't be true, yet here we are living in a world where it is. I can't lose my son.' " STOICK! STOICK, ARE YOU ALIVE?" Gobber yelled. Everyone is confused by this new knowledge of where my son has been. What is going to happen to him now that he is out there? I sighed " contact all chief, we need to have an emergency meeting very soon. I want Alvin and Dagur here as fast as possible. Gobber, it's time." Stoick walked out of the Great Hall trying to think of a way to lie to the whole council about this. ' If Hiccup found out about his true heritage then this world is going to hear about Berk faster than need be. I know the prophecy is a myth but something in our line of history doesn't add up enough for Hiccup not to look into it. If he really knew the history behind Berk, the cause of the real war, and the truth behind our last name he would leave Berk and never come back.' Stoick thought. As he closed the door to his house, he sighed. The footsteps echoed throughout the whole house. God came running in saying " You can't lie to him, stoick! He is bound to find out sometime. Val wouldn't want this for her wee son. You have to understand that he is one with blasted dragons. Those dragons make him feel like himself and to take that away from him is just not right. It's bad enough the wee lad doesn't know why we hated dragons in the first place,  wait until he finds out about the lands who believe in magic. When he is with Toothless they are unstoppable. Don't take away your son's dreams for Berk. Ya have to tell him." I knew Gobber was right. But for Hiccup to find out about these lands and these people, it would kill him.
