Today was the day! Y/N was on her way to the airport to go pick up Peggy.

The best friend had finally settled things with her job offer, and they had a spot for her in Manhattan close to where Y/N lived. She was still just coming over for about 2 weeks just to kind of feel out the area, but by the sounds of it, Peggy was looking to make a permanent change of scenery.

"So we're all still meeting up at your mom's house for dinner right? That and our new guest?" Bucky asked over the bluetooth speakerphone in Y/N's car.

"Yes and yes," Y/N smiled through the phone. "You and Steve are headed over right after work, right?"

"That is the plan," Bucky chuckled at her enthusiasm. "Steve still doesn't realize his little sister is setting him up."

"I'm only partially setting them up," she rolled her eyes with a smile. "I just so happen to be bringing two of some of the most important people in my life together, ones that I think would get along well, and whatever happens, happens."

"So, in saying that, you're not going to bring up any embarrassing stories of your brother to kinda push Peggy to see what a dorky, yet perfect, gentleman he is?"

"I didn't say that."

Bucky laughed louder at that. "Yeah, I figured that would be the case." There was some talking in the distance on his line before he spoke up again. "Hey, your brother's coming back with a case for me. I'll talk to you later, ok?"

"Sounds good! Make sure he looks decent tonight, please!" Y/N grinned mischievously.

"Yeah, you're definitely not trying to set them up or anything..."

"Don't mock me," she fake pouted.

"I would never, darling." There was some more background talking. This time sounding like Steve's muffled voice. "Ok, I'll let you go. Let me know if you need anything else from me before tonight, ok?"

"Thank you B. I'll see you tonight. Love you!"

"Love you too, sweetheart," he said sweetly in return.

Y/N pulled into the pickup line for the airport. Practically the same spot Bucky and Steve had got her 8 months back. She had told Peggy she would come inside and get her, but Peggy refused saying it would be a waste of money to park for 5 minutes just to meet her at baggage claim.

So when she did see the spunky brown-haired woman making her way out of the doors, she couldn't help but run out of the car and bombard her.

"Whoa there Birdie!" she laughed, catching her and Y/N from the impact of the hug. "Almost got me on the ground before I could fully step foot onto New York soil."

Y/N finally pulled back and playfully swatted the brits arm.

"Haven't been called Birdie since I last saw you, Peg."

"Well, it is a good nickname for you. Chatty and all."

"Ha, ha. Very funny. Come on let's get your bags in the car before they ticket me for not having a living body in it," Y/N chuckled, grabbing one of her suitcases and rolling it to the backseat.

"Do you have a dead one in there?" Peggy teased.

"No really, you should be a comedian."

Once the two were settled, headed out of the airport traffic, and had caught up in the two days they hadn't talked on the phone, Y/N let Peggy in for the plans of the evening.

"So you have plenty of time to settle in and even take a nap. I remember when I came in, I nearly passed out in my soup from exhaustion," Y/N went on.
