Y/N has always been seen as "Steve's rambunctious sister." However, she grew up, graduated, and moved to London to study abroad for 4 years and get her bachelor's degree. The girl that returns looks nothing like the teenager that left, but don't wor...
A few days had passed since Y/N and Bucky's conversation. They had just been texting back and forth or calling when they could. It's really hard to get alone time with the other when you're trying to keep it a secret from practically everyone.
But tonight was a little different. Although after coming to terms with trying out this new relationship, they spent most of the night sitting, talking about the old days, catching up where they hadn't, and all that cute stuff, Bucky wasn't going to call it their first date. He insisted that he wanted to do a whole date night for them as their first official one.
So he did.
He planned a nice evening out for the two and told Y/N to be ready at her house by 6. He had already talked with Sam about keeping Steve distracted for the night, and Beck was on standby in case something didn't go as planned in keeping this date a secret.
The two had been super comfortable with each other and it was like nothing had changed in their relationship. Except there was a lot more flirting, sweet phone calls, and morning and night texts that made the other gush.
So in getting ready for their date, she was surprised to feel nervous. She knew that they would go on dates before they got further into the relationship, but her stomach was twisted in knots.
Putting those jitters away for the moment, she took her time getting ready and dressed for the evening.
Her hair was thrown back in a messy bun with the wild, unruly curls she had framing her face. Bucky told her she didn't need to wear anything really nice but to make sure she had cozy clothes to walk around town in and comfortable shoes.
It's later in the spring, so the weather was perfect for something light. At night, it gets a little colder, but nothing that drastic with jeans, a tank top, and a floor-length cardigan with flaring sleeves.

Grabbing all her essentials, she threw a brown leather purse she got in Capri over her shoulder and checked her phone. Bucky was headed her way and was about 5 minutes out. And just like that, the jitters were back.
She went ahead and went downstairs to grab her wallet she left on the kitchen counter, but just as she ascended the stairs, she heard a man's voice that wasn't Bucky. It was just as familiar, but instead of seeing brown hair, she saw blonde.
