"Do you want me to go get you some? I don't mind."

"Actually, yeah," you responded to your husband bashfully, "If it's truly no bother."

"Of course, of course -just wait here, yeah?" He sent you a curve of his lips as he stood up, one that you couldn't help but return as you gave your own reply, "Sounds good to me."

It was a bright and joyous morning -maybe an hour or so until noon hit- and the weather was beyond fitting for how you felt while window shopping with your husband through the many streets in town. You were currently sitting on a bench, the both of you having decided to take a quick break given that you had been at it for quite a while and your feet were starting to hurt, when a delightful smell wafted over to you from somewhere not so far off. Moblit had seemed to have sensed it as well, seeing as he also sniffed at the air and not so long after offered to go and get some of whatever it was for the both of you, 'To be honest I'm still not sure what it is, I'm just almost one hundred percent sure that with it smelling like that, it can't be bad.'

Smally shuffling your feet on the stone brick road as you sat on the bench, you waited for Moblit to come back with a content smile, 'I wish everyday could be like today.'

"Oi, girlie." came an unanticipated voice, someone leaning in front of you as they waved their hand in front of your face with a smile so wide it made you partially weary.

Raising a brow, you couldn't help but look them over in confusion as to what they wanted; the stranger adorned well enough clothes that told you they weren't a beggar, but simultaneously baggy enough to the point where you were uncertain what their assigned gender was. Deciding to play it safe, you replied with a simple, "Yes?"

"The name's Jaike, what about you?"

"Um... (Y/N) Berner, why...? Do you need help with something?" You couldn't help but be suspicious -after all, it wasn't that common for someone to randomly stop and talk to you like this, 'Maybe they're someone who I've served at the bar before? I guess that's possible.'

The person's grin turned into more of a smirk at this, standing back up to their full height now that they had your attention, "Why yes, actually."

There was a silence where you could speak up and prompt them to continue, but instead of doing as social cues suggested, you slightly backed up in your seat as you simply stared back -almost daring them to persist further as you cautiously watched them, "I'm in the mood for pizza."

'Oh, it was just me complicating things. That's good, I can redirect them and they'll be on their way.'

Letting yourself calm down slightly, you offered a small smile in an unspoken reconciliation for the coldness you had displayed, "If I remember correctly, th-"

"A pizza you, that is."

You blinked once, then twice.

"I'm sorry?"

"What, you don't like that one?"

"I have a husband." you defended yourself, holding your left hand out and showing your ring finger that did, in fact, have a metal band around it.

"Yeah right," they started, rolling their eyes that then peered into your own (E/C) ones, "I don't see him."

"Well he's not here right n-"

"But I am, so why don't you and I g-"

Woosh.

There was a sudden presence at your left side, an arm wrapping around your shoulders and pulling you tight to whoever it was as they spoke, "Hey honey, I'm back."

Upon lifting your head upwards and to the side to see who it was, you couldn't help but relax a bit when your taffy-haired partner made himself known -leaning into his chest as he nonchalantly checked his own ring in the lighting the sun provided, all in clear view of this Jaike person before finally acknowledging them properly, "Oh, sorry I didn't see you there." he started, a false regret serving as the thread that sewed his whole wordless warning together, "Everything ok?"

Jaike didn't say anything in response, merely looking at the both of you a little sourly before turning away and heading off to a group of friends that you hadn't noticed before -each of them patting them on the back in consolation as they started to head off together. Moblit let out a huff as they left, his face slightly scrunched before he turned to a small paper bag that was at his side, "I got th- Huh?!"

The male startled as you randomly hugged him tight, you being thankful now more than ever that you husband was a member of the Survey Corps and handled potentially threatening -or perhaps bothersome fit the description best- people like Jaike with ease, "Thank you, Mobby."

You couldn't see it, but a faint blush settled on his joues as he put his right hand around your back and squeezed you a tad bit tighter to him -effectively returning the gesture, "Anytime, (Y/N). Anytime at all."

Saturday he had told others to back off.

Omfg this picture of Moblit is gonna kill me, it makes me laugh whenever he looks so angry because he's such a mellow guy-
