"and how far can I runaway from love,
when you've been holding me that close to you?" 💫.・✫・゜・。.
"V hyung," Jungkook started timidly fiddling with the hem of his now worn oversized sweater, lend by Taehyung.
The scene unfolding with both the lads seated in the living room; Taehyung on the couch drying off Jungkook who was seated on the ground, leaning against the elder.
Taehyung hummed as a response to Jungkook showing that he was listening, still busy pat drying the latter's wet locks with a towel.
"Did you...Did you wait long...?" Jungkook trailed off, his voice was a whisper; a soft gust amidst the uproar of wind outside, that still could be heard against the windows.
The question made Taehyung halt; pausing briefly what he was doing, hands still entangled against younger's soft, almost dry hair.
Jungkook felt the elder's hands still against his locks, he understood, and that made him duck his head low even more, back to fiddling with his fingers.
His heart was beating fast, yet it felt heavier. Was it nervousness? embarrassment? guiltiness? He couldn't figure out. But one thing he was certain of that, he wasn't ready. Not ready to face his V hyung. Not ready for this conversation, or where it might head along. Nor for the answer Taehyung was to provide to his question.
Yet here he was, waiting nervously to hear from the elder. To hear his thoughts, to listen how he felt; to listen what he has to say.
"I did." Taehyung answered after a while, going back to drying off younger's hair.
A silence halted. Jungkook didn't know how to respond.
He knew. He knew, Taehyung would've waited. No matter how much he tried to shake off the possibility of this, even after giving repetitive denials to him, Taehyung would still have waited for him. And now that his question was answered, he couldn't help but realize the guilty feeling rising in him.
But before he could reply back anything, Taehyung added again, " And I somehow anticipated, you weren't going to show up, although there was a little hope at the back of my head."
As soon as those words were heard, Jungkook instantly spun to his back; his doe eyes widened, darted into Taehyung's.
"Y-You knew?"
"Hm. I knew." His voice was deep, yet unfaltering as if he had known of the fact much before.
"I-I'm sorry..." Jungkook no longer could look at the elder. He felt ashamed, guilted over his actions.
"You shouldn't be. You were given a choice, and you chose accordingly. And, I was on the bad side too. I shouldn't have forced you in this matter, and should've listened to your side of the story. I'm sorry." Jungkook could feel the guilt in Taehyung's voice.
"But moreover," Taehyung started again leaning down a bit, gently tucking a strand of hair behind the younger's ear, lifting his face up by his chin making him look backup at him. "you're here now, hm."
Taehyung gave a soft smile as soon as their eyes met, that somehow eased down the younger, who smiled back up at the elder, showing his infamous bunny smile.
The moment was undoubtedly soothing.
The rain had stopped playing it's tune against the doors and windows, leaving behind its calming scent of nostalgic petrichor, that was lingering in the surrounding.
