Konan's Pov-

Alright
I thought to myself.

My kidnapper is a sound shinobi with an electric chakra nature. Who apparently thinks it's a good idea to take the angel of Amegakure hostage. Real smart guy.
I reviewed.

2nd thought, was I kidnapped under orders of the kage of the sound, or is this unbeknownst to the village?

3rd thought of importance, how do I get out of here?

I studied my surroundings.

Metal walls, metal chains, metal cuffs, Let's add heavy metal to the list of kidnapper traits. Unfortunate for him metal can't hold me.

I let myself divide into sheets of paper as I slipped out of my imprisonment, leaving a paper clone behind just for intell in my place as I scattered back toward the hidden rain.

------------------------

"Konan where were you!"

I turned around as a I saw a angry Yahiko approach me with a sound shinobi behind him.

"I was merely taking a walk. Forgive me, Yahiko."

I saw the sound shinobi narrow his eyes.

So, this wasn't something unbeknownst. It was a plan."

"Lord Yahiko, I believe we should talk. In your office."
I announced.
Carefully monitoring the sweaty palmed sound chunin who's eyes darted back and forth nervously.

"Of course, Konan."

I sent a paper clone with Yahiko and stepped alongside the chunin.

I saw him let out a silent scream as my paper enveloped him, before I placed him under a genjutsu, sending him brainwashed as a intell imposter back towards the hidden sound, Otogakure.

My clone had dissipated as it returned to me while I reviewed my clones conversation.

Yahiko now knew about the new circumstances and the sound mission as I overheard him talking quietly about Otogakure and a confrontation.

He paused.
"Step out."

I slipped from my hiding spot in front of him.

"Lord Yahiko, I wanted to address this."

He narrowed his eyes at me.

"Wouldn't it be a wiser decision to let me handle this."
I gripped my arm. Preventing it from trembling.

"I feel as if you do not trust me. I want to be of use to Amegakure.
So please, if you could let me handle this on my own. Merely as a intell mission. It would make me feel more confident of my place here."

Yahiko stared at me for what felt like eternity before sighing.
"If it makes you feel more lived up to your role, then do as you wish."

He turned away, signaling the Jonin he was talking to to go back to his task. As he headed towards the tallest tower, his kage cloak flapping in the wind as he turned the corner out of sight.

Right.

I cast out my paper clones, disguised no jutsu, considering I could change the color and shape of my paper to transfigure into a new character in the worlds storyline.

I spent the rest of the evening with my friend, Hinata Hyuga of the leaf.

She visited Amegakure sometimes.

I nodded as she posed a lecture on elderly villagers as I cut in with something different.

"So how are you and Naruto doing?"

I saw Hinata turn red as she stumbled over her words.

"W-well he came to me the other day and tapped my shoulder, giving me a hug.. And then, h-he asked me about the weather."

"How unoriginal."
I glanced at her.

"Hinata.. He started talking about the weather."

She looked me confused as I told her never mind, thanked her for the food, and left to clear my mind.

I walked through the tall bamboo forest that newly bordered Amegakure's west side.

I leaned against a stalk as I pulled out an unfinished book.
Flipping through the pages, I saw my origami genjutsu at work as the ones trapped inside the storyline ventured through. Unraveling the story that they had done so many times, yet couldn't remember.

I began to weave a new origami chapter.

I continued this until I looked up. My back ached from the bamboo stalk as a stood up stiffly, looking up at the cloudy night sky. No stars, no moon, just dark clouds.

I pulled my cloak from my head as I heard the soothing sound of rain pattering against metal.

The sound may be stressful for others, but for me, it was the sound of home as I breathed in, feeling a raindrop on my nose as I made my way back home.

Yahiko Pov-

I sighed as I lifted my stack of paper off of my desk.

I had finished talking to my assistant jonin in charge about a confrontation with the sound.

The sound shinobi force, is a small thing.
I would of thought they were passing through.
But the stone shinobi said that they were sent as late reinforcements.
Still, that might be a small coincidence.

But with Konan.
She said she had been kidnapped.

By our ally.

That is unusual.
I entrusted her the intell mission with hesitation.

I didn't want her to be recaptured by the sound. But I changed my mind. Not that I wanted her to be captured, I merely let her take the mission because I understand she's powerful enough to take it on.

But was it the right thing to do?
Letting her take on such a potentially dangerous mission?
I figured the sound kidnapper would of coated her in oil, to prevent her from escaping.

But what if they decided to harm her, only to realize it's a clone?

No,
I told myself.

Konan is a master at genjutsu.
Clones can still use genjutsu and ninjutsu.
Konan would just have to make it seem like she was actually harmed.

And her clones are unusual.
They don't disappear like a normal clone when hurt, unless is told too by Konan.

I sighed once more as I laid my head on my desk.
Sleeping even though it was midday.

I had a confrontation at 6 in the morning and I hadn't slept for 2 days, working on my kage duties 2 days straight.
