Ever since coming to Hope's Peak Academy, everyone of my classmates seemed to have become, distant from me...almost like, I have an incurable disease. I put on a smile, but everything, seems so empty. Understanding feelings is something I want to know how to do. But, by around the second half of my first year, they added the Reserve Course. The Reserve Course is for the normal people, who wanted to come to Hope's Peak. They're the only way the school gets any funding, considering they have to pay an extreme amount of money to get in. For a change of pace, I decided to go to the Reserve Course. And, that's where I met someone. He looked at me like a person, and he seemed to admire the fact that I was, a useless person like himself that just happened to get lucky. His name, was
"Hajime Hinata." I smiled, feeling a tingling sensation running down my back as I thought of him. Looking up at the ceiling, I hugged the pillow tight, recalling everything that happened that day. He was so gentle, so kind, so...beautiful! I don't know how to describe him! But, all I know, is that he's, a person. Not like the rest of the Reserve Course useless ones.
"Soon, Hajime...you'll be mine..." I whispered, falling asleep on the ground like the trash I am.
"Nagito. Hay, hay hay!" a hushed voice called. I was shocked at first, but looked over. Nanami, Chiaki. She's a good friend of mine. She's nice, quiet, and helpful to everyone in the class!
"Yeah? You need something Nanami?"
"No. You've just been spacing out for the longest time Nagito. Are you ok? Is something wrong?" she asked. It's surprising that she's willing to help even someone as useless as me! How considerate!
"Oh, sorry! I was just...thinking." I sighed. Can't exactly explain to her that I was thinking about Hajime.
"Oh, ok. If you need something, please tell me. I'd be happy to help!" Chiaki said, smiling. She walked off, grabbing her handheld game. I smiled back, knowing that I was holding up the rest of the hallway.
"HAY! Dumbass! Move outta the WAY!" Fuyuhiko yelled from behind me, pushing me to the ground despite his stature. The Ultimate High School Level Gangster. Kuzuryuu, Fuyuhiko.
I smiled, and laughed to myself. How stupid could I be? I was holding up the other Ultimates! So trash like me, deserves to be on the ground, trampled by every other Ultimate. No, I don't even deserve to be STEPPED ON! I'M MORE WORTHLESS THAN THE DIRT THAT THEY STEP ON!
"Hay, Nagito? Need some help?"
"Huh?" I looked up to see, Chiaki. She extended her hand out to me. I laughed, but, she frowned. When I opened my eyes again, to see her frown, I stopped laughing, and took her extended hand in mine.
"You need to stop thinking of yourself that way Nagito. I don't want one of my classmates to feel that they are less than everyone else. Because in all honesty, you are one of us. You are worth just as much. Ok Nagito?" Chiaki said, sturn and unforgiving. Like a mother scolding a child. I just smiled. She's a lot better at lying then I thought!
"Ok Chiaki! Whatever you say!" I said mockingly, waving her concerns off like they were pests.
I walked into class, being greeted with many sighs and groans of my appearance. Taking one step in from the doorway with my disgusting feet, and Hiyoko yelled
"GOD! Your almost as worthless as the smelly pig! Does it take you that long to hold up a goddamn CLASS?!" I was a bit taken aback. But, I deserved it! I held up a class of very capable Ultimates! Who wouldn't be mad?
