The mud splattered on their fur as their legs hit the ground. Eyes were foggy and their breath was hitched. They didn't know where they were going or who they were running from. All they know is that they need to keep moving.
Run.

Anyway, now that you know what they look like. The first two were a rushed thing and I used bases for them found in Pinterest. The third one is all my own.
And so, um... There are inconsistencies like the scars on the dog's chest and the no-scar on their muzzle in the 2nd photo. Just imagine that the dog had a scar on its muzzle and ignore the one on their chest, please.
