Yibo told him everything and it made his heart broke into pieces. He couldn't bear to hear more. His mind could imagine each scene and he had an urge to punch that senior and kick him where it hurts the most.Xiao Zhan looked up and blinked when Yibo didn't continue and just stared at him, eyes full of emotions. Then he felt something in his cheek. He touched them and surprised to find that he was crying.
He didn't know he shed tears while listening to Yibo.
"Ge..." Yibo called him.
Xiao Zhan looked at him, eyes shining. "Yibo, come here," he said softly.
Yibo obliged. He sit beside Xiao Zhan, anticipating what the other would do. His heart was racing. Just like when he first saw Xiao Zhan in the train, looking cute and blushing while his cheek was against a pole.
Without thinking, Xiao Zhan suddenly hugged him, burying Yibo's head in the crook of his neck. Yibo felt so shocked with what Xiao Zhan did, but instead of feeling worse, his heart floated and his eyes glistened.
A moment later, Xiao Zhan felt tears falling on his neck. The boy in his arms cried silently, as noiseless as possible. But Xiao Zhan knew, Yibo could do better.
The Aunty that was about to go in their table stopped when she saw the scene. And she silently stepped back to return to the back of the house, eyes tearing up but had a small smile on her lips.
"Shh, you'll be better. You deserve better." Xiao Zhan coaxed Yibo, trying to soothe his back with soft, reassuring touches.
Yibo responded with a sniffle, burying his head deeper. A while later, he separated in his arm, and looked at Xiao Zhan with his red eyes and nose. His lips were pouty.
"I'm feeling better. Thanks, ge." Yibo said.
Xiao Zhan just smiled, "Let's go somewhere. I have this beautiful place where you can dump all the bad feelings."
"Where?" Yibo asked as they stood up.
"You'll see."
They went to his Aunty that just finished serving a customer and was holding a tray.
"You're going?" Aunty asked.
"Yeah, we'll go to my favorite place."
Aunty immediately understood. She refused to get their pay and Xiao Zhan tried so hard to give it to her.
"Xiao Zhan, I won't accept that."
So Xiao Zhan and Yibo got out of her shop. Xiao Zhan was still pouting.
"She's always like that. She would let me eat many foods then refused to receive my money." He ranted, but his heart was soft.
"Aunty is really a good person. She dotes on you." Yibo said, nose still red. Xiao Zhan wanted to pinch it.
"She only have a daughter. She wished she have a son like me. That's why she treated me like one," he replied.
"You're very lovable. I think all Aunties here would want you as their son," Yibo grinned.
Xiao Zhan pursed his lips and walk ahead a little faster. Yibo kept on complimenting him and it's not good for his heart.
"Would you still walk a little further with me? Or are you tired already?" Xiao Zhan asked a while later.
"I'll follow you ge even if we reach foreverland." Yibo laughed, but his voice held deep promises.
"Foreverland? Is that even a word?" Xiao Zhan asked as they walk. "Wang Yibo are you really this cheesy?"
"Only with you."
"That's not the right answer."
They bickered under the bright moonlight, side by side, so close, and hands bumping. They finally reached Xiao Zhan's favourite place after half an hour. It was on the top of the hills where the bright moon and millions of stars could be seen.
"Do you think they could see us?" Yibo asked yet another random question.
"Who?" Xiao Zhan replied with a question too while looking at Yibo. His head was tilted as he face the night sky.
"The moon and the stars," Yibo said.
"Hmm maybe... or maybe not. I don't know." Xiao Zhan laughed. "But they said they could hear your wishes."
He saw a twig and pick it up. He twirled it within his fingers. Yibo was now looking at him, eyes full of fascination and warmth.
"You're really good at that," Yibo complimented.
"It's a habit I developed when I was still a kid." Xiao Zhan throw it at the other side. "So, you're ready?"
Yibo looked at him confused, "Ready for what?"
"Scream." Xiao Zhan answered. "Scream everything to let it all out. No need to hold back."
"What if I wake people up?" Yibo asked, a little hesitant.
"There's no houses below us, it's all trees. But you'll wake all the animals though." Xiao Zhan chuckled but stopped when Yibo seemed a little reluctant and a little scared, "You're scared of animals?"
"N-not all. Just bugs and poisonous animals."
Xiao Zhan smiled.
"Okay then. I'll be right here. Now do it." Xiao Zhan said.
He waited, and waited until Yibo finally break free.
"XIAO ZHAN YOU ARE THE BEST!!!!" Yibo screamed on top of his lungs.
Xiao Zhan was surprised when he heard that. Eyes wide while staring at Yibo who had his hands beside his mouth.
"ZHAN'GE THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING!!!"
"I WON'T EVER FORGET THIS DAY!!!"
Xiao Zhan, a little shaken, interrupted him.
"Wait, y-you're supposed to say all your burdens so you'd feel better..."
"I already did," Yibo replied to him, smiling widely under the moonlight. There were tears that are yet to fall in his eyes.
Xiao Zhan held his breath when Yibo hugged him, "Thank you, Zhan'ge."
"Don't mention it," he replied softly. "You deserve everything. Remember that."
"Zhan'ge I..."
"Hmm?"
I love you I love you I love you I wish you feel the same
