Chapter 19: In Need of a Friend

*Iris' P.O.V*

After messaging Richard to ask him to call me and driving half an hour to his house I pulled into Harrisons drive. Turns out he had today off and so did Tom that's why he was at the house so I asked him if he was free and that's how I ended up in his driveway with my dog. My eyes were filled with tears and I knew that there were streaks of mascara down my face. I pulled the key out of the ignition and opened the door to let Blue out and made my way to the front door. Before I even raised my hand to knock I was being pulled into a bone-crushing hug.

"what the fuck happened! Was it Richard what did he do? You sounded so hurt on the phone" I could barely get my words out but I managed to fill Harrison in on what had happened. The more I told him the angrier he got. He had always been overprotective of me, even before we dated, but I could see the anger in him just like had with Jess only this time it wasn't directed at me. after a good hour of chewing his ear off, I finally finished speaking. He spent the next few minutes sitting in silence.

"I can't believe her. After everything, you have done for her. And she throws it all back in your face" I could hear the anger in his voice as it wavered slightly. He was trying to keep it bottled up for my sake. "and you said she was fighting with Tom before you got there?" I just nodded unable to speak anymore. Whilst I had been throwing everything at him he had poured me a glass of Merlot and I was currently finishing my second glass. We talked about the situation for a good 2 hours. Every so often I would check my phone to see if Richard had messaged me back but so far nothing. It made sense it was still the middle of the night where he was. Harrison and I talked for hours and when we finished talking about the Jess situation we talked about other things and we laughed and we cried and we joked just like old times. Things finally made it back to the conversation that we had back before the twins were born.

"so this new girl, going to tell me about her?" the smile on Harrisons' face spread even wider than I ever thought possible. He scrunched his nose whilst he thought about it and then he finally told me about her.

"her name is Talia. She's a few months younger than me. I met her at an audition, and we got coffee and then we've been talking ever since. Only you and Tom know yet I don't want her to feel overwhelmed" I couldn't help but smile at what he was telling me. this is the guy who has been sleeping around ever since high school and has never spoken about a girl, not even me, in such away. I could tell how much he really liked her.

"well, I'm so happy for you. I hope that I can meet her one day. I won't tell her all of your embarrassing stories promise" we both laughed and continued to drink and eat food and watch crappy tv. It was exactly what I needed. After some time, I must have fallen asleep because when I woke up I was on the sofa under the couch blanket. I could hear a voice in the room so I kept still listening to what was being said.

"she's okay, she was shaken up at first, but I calmed her down we talked about it, and then we had some drinks and now she's fast asleep on my sofa" there was a pause and I guessed that he was on the phone to someone. My guess either tom or Richard my guess was confirmed when he spoke again.

"Rich, she's fine. She's probably better sleeping here any way you know ill keep an eye on her and Blues here too so that's another thing you won't have to worry about.... I'll tell her to call you when she wakes up. She misses you" that was all I heard before I fell back asleep and was back in my dreams. 

A/N: I'm sorry this chapter is short it's really just a filler as I am working on the next ten chapters. once I have started writing a few of them I will start uploading them. I have a general idea where this story is going so I hope you all enjoy <3
