A/N:
Umm, this song really had nothing to do with the story but I like it soo 😬I highly recommend Caleb Hyles though. :) I also felt like Varian acts kind of like younger Draco and has somewhat the same mindset so that's cool I guess. I have never watched Tangled The Series though, so I don't know much about the characters.
Enjoy the part though!
Harry's POV:
Narcissa was already standing nearby and she saw me. She came up to me and shook my hand. "Nice seeing you again, Mr. Potter. Draco should be in his room. He hasn't spent much time outside it for the past few days and I'm starting to worry a bit, actually. I'll show you the way."We stopped outside a door that was identical to all the others except for the fact that it had the name 'Draco' engraved in it.
Narcissa knocked on the door.
Draco's POV:
I heard a knock on my door. Reluctantly, I got out of my seat by the large window in my room and opened the door to see none other than Harry Potter (and my mother). To say I was shocked was an understatement."Potter? Mother, what's he doing here?" I asked. "Go away, I'm not in the mood." I shut my door in their faces a bit harsher than I wanted to.
"Draco," It was Potter. "I just want to talk for a few."
I opened my door again, annoyed. "Okay? You can leave us, mother. I can take care of myself."
"Of course." she left. Potter let himself into my room and shut the door behind him once he was in.
"Winky?" The house elf I called appeared in front of us. "Get our guest a cup of tea." She left with a pop.
"That's uh, not necessary." Potter said.
"It's done, Potter." I told him. I felt the anger towards him slowly fading away. "I wasn't expecting you. Sorry."
My room was a mess. With a flick of my wand, my possessions tidied themselves.
I stared at him for a while, thinking about the past years. A lot of my memories of Hogwarts had been forgotten by me. All that was in my head now was mostly blankness now. I felt like everything was gone. Those years at Hogwarts meant nothing now. Pansy, Blaise, sure we were still friends, but it wouldn't be the same as it was at school, I could already tell.
Winky popped back in which made me jump. The elf handed Potter his tea then left again.
"You alright, Malfoy?" he asked. "You seem a bit off."
"I'm fine, Potter." I turned away from him. I couldn't look at him any longer without reliving painful memories. "Take a seat, I guess." I said, gesturing towards the chair I was previously sitting in.
He went over and sat down. It was silence except for the occasional sip of tea from Potter.
I subconsciously went over to him and reached my hand out so I could touch his scar. I closed my eyes, letting a tear fall from my eye. I wondered to myself why I was doing this if it hurt so much to just look at Potter, let alone make physical contact with him.
I felt a hand push my arm back down, but I couldn't take it anymore. I hugged him, completely forgetting about the burning hot tea in his hand. He hugged me back. I didn't flinch when I felt a few drops of tea fall on me. It was a reminder that everything was real. It was a reminder I've been needing since I came back to the manor that night.
"Oh, I'm so sorry, Draco! I didn't mean to." he immediately apologised once he realised his drink had spilled on me.
"No, it's..." Wait, did he just call me Draco? "It's alright, Harry." I smiled at him.
"You look nice. What's the occasion?" he asked me, noticing I was wearing a suit.
"As do you. Ah, it's nothing. Dressing like this makes it feel more real, I guess. With everything that's happened." I told him.
"Thanks by the way." he said. "That time when I was caught by the snatchers. You knew it was me, didn't you?"
"'Course I did. You're Harry Potter. Everyone knows what you look like. With that scar." I said. "I've got an idea. Why don't we go out?"
Harry's face turned into a shocked expression. "Um, like a date?"
"What? No! Sorry, as mates. Bring your two friends. I want a chance to talk to the three of you." I told him.
He still looked shocked. "You would be okay with them?"
"I guess we'll see. If I'm being honest, I'm just worried about Weasley. Our families have never gotten along." I said.
"When your mother asked us to come, Weasley- I mean Ron was fine with it. Sorry, I think your nicknames are getting to my head." he laughed. "He was probably in it for the food at the dinner your mother's invited us to, though. Your mother's a nice person."
"Weasley..." I said, then quietly chuckled. "I can't believe I got you to call your best friend Weasley."
"That's really all you care about? I never knew you had a humorous side to you, Draco."
"No, of course it's not all I care about! Still worried that he might curse me or something. Anyway, meet me in an hour at Diagon Alley. I'll ask mother if she wants to come. I need to get ready." I said to him.
"You look ready enough. We could just go there now, couldn't we?" he asked me. "And yeah, I think her coming would be a great idea."
"True. It's not really my appearance I was worrying about. Let me put it differently. It seems like you've put no effort into your hair or clothing whatsoever. Plus, you still need to inform Weasley and Granger of the plan so they know what's happening." I said. "One hour, don't be late."
"Why don't you meet us at the Burrow?" Harry asked. "I don't know what the Weasleys will think of you, honestly. But I'm sure Mrs. Weasley and the rest will love your mother."
"Alright, we'll be there in a bit. And find yourself some better clothes for Merlin's sake, Potter." I said.
He rolled his eyes at me. "Anything else?"
"Fix your hair." I gave him a small smile.
"Yes, mother." he said sarcastically. Potter left the manor, but not without giving mother a hug.
A/N:
There will be more Narcissa in the next part, I promise. After all, this is a story dedicated to Helen McCrory.I know this was mostly just Harry and Draco, but it was mostly just to make the storyline make sense, I guess.
Keep in mind this is a short story so it will end rather quickly.
Again, it is dedicated to the amazing actress who played Narcissa, so don't expect many "love scenes," most likely there will be none at all.
Thanks for reading!
1) What did you think of this chapter? Even though Narcissa was barely mentioned, I think it turned out okay.
