Chapter 1 - The Little Neko

{Erens POV}

Me and Levi were holding hands as we walked back from a night out together , we went for a simple dinner out at some nice Italian restaurant which was just delicious. We were talking to each other , going back and forth between talking. I couldn't help but blush at the way Levi talked , his voice was so silky and smooth for a man with such a tough shell and attitude.
"Thank you for bringing me out tonight Levi , I really enjoyed tonight!"
I say to him with a smile on my face as I bright Levi closer by wrapping my arm around him and pulling him close , which Levi didn't mind at all. I heard Levi respond to me at how he enjoyed the time too , but of course he had to go and call me a slob for the way I eat , I couldn't help it. It's how I have always eaten after all.

After some time we passed a alleyway and I heard a noise in there. I stopped and looked in there through the dark shadows until I noticed something moving behind a trash can. I stopped Levi immediately and said to him
"Levi...hey! There's something behind that trash can, b-by the looks of it, it looks like a cat. Since we can't get a kid...please!! Can we get a cat!?"
Eren asked pleading at Levi knees which he sighed and eventually agreed to it after I begged at his knees for about 10 minutes straight.

I excitedly made my way over to the trash can and peeked around it to see something I wasn't expecting. It was a small human , about only 2ft tall , but it was strange. They had a cat tail and ears too. The little thing seemed to know I was right there because it was backed up in the corner , scared to even move or say a word. If he could talk that was. I called Levi over and crouched down to the little guys level , putting my hand out to see what he would do.

The little Neko backed up into the wall more, he didn't know what was going on but he looked terrified.
Gosh...he must be terrified, not to mention he looks really young too
Eren thought to himself as Levi had made his way over.

{Levis POV}

Levi was confused to why Eren had called him over. Looking down at what Eren had found even the cold , annoyed man was confused. Crouching down next to Eren he sighed softly, I felt sorry for this kid , he only looked about 6-7 years old , what was he doing out here all alone?
What is this kid doing out here all alone? He looks like he's been out here for a while , considering he stinks and he looks like a mess
Levi thought to himself as i soon then said to the kid
"What's your name kid? What are you doing out here alone?"
I asked looking at him. But I didn't get an answer from him , it almost like he didn't know how to speak or something which annoyed me at first , I knew we didn't have time for this and I tried to pull Eren away from him. But once again Eren started to literally beg at my knees to take him home with us. I tried my best to reason with him but I knew it wasn't going to work. I eventually gave in and Eren smiled back at me.

I looked back down at the Neko and said to the scared boy
"Listen , me and Eren will take you back to ours ok? We will get you fed and bathed , then you are back out to your parents got it? Your lucky that I'm feeling nice today"
I say to him with a harsh tone which only Eren nudged me for it. I rolled my eyes and I stood back up and Eren picked up the Neko. Taking him back to the house. I was obviously thinking I wasn't going to enjoy this, I was never really home how to care for people until I met Eren , so this was going to be a journey for all of us.
