Chapter 4

(M/n) hummed a short tune from his original world as the teen strolled around the vicinity of Cuijue Slope and Tianqiu Valley, searching for any loot that he could bring back to the Treasure Hoarders' base. His tail was waving happily behind him, and he was closely listening to the surrounding area for any enemies.

Man, it's getting boring just running around fighting and stealing things from ruins and people like I want to get into the good stuff! Don't get me wrong, being a treasure hoarder is fun and all, but I want to meet my husbandos, and I want some adventure!

"But what if I change the plotline by accident because of my presence?" The teen sighed, deep in thought.

He subconsciously kicked a stray pebble across the grassy plains, the rock stuttering in the air before hitting the ground. (M/n) sighed once more before focusing on his current expedition that he was on.

Of course (M/n) was on a mission in Tianqiu and Cuijue, instructed by Freckle, otherwise, he would have never left the base and continued lounging in his tent for the entirety of his day like a lazy loaf. I would've never left if Freckle hadn't threatened to not give me dinner if I didn't bring anything back... how rude of him to try and take away my food! (M/n) huffed angrily. His tail snapping side to side as he remembers his conversation with his leader.

It was quickly approaching afternoon, and (M/n) had been out since this morning as per Freckle's order. So far, the electro user hasn't found anything to take back to the base, making him shudder in nervousness at the thought of not getting any delicious food made by their amazing chef at the base.

But, a light of hope shined through his anxiousness when he heard the familiar and dramatic soundtrack play followed by the two gravelly growls behind him.

"Uh oh..." The teen froze up when he realized which creatures they were from the growls. They were geovishap hatchlings, one of the most annoying monsters to fight.

His fluffy (c) tail puffed up in alarm before he slowly inched around to gaze at the two rocky creatures. Normally, (M/n) would jump at any moment to fight with an enemy, but geovishaps and the hatchlings were ones that he has never fought before since they were quite dangerous creatures. Simply to put it, he was no match for the geovishap hatchlings and their family of moving rocks.

Despite his fear, he pushed the feeling away, and his eyes narrowed in determination. These are the only things I've seen so far, and I need to bring something back to get dinner! Fight me, motherfu-

Poor, poor (M/n) didn't even have time to materialize his weapon when suddenly the two hatchlings were barreling at his figure at an alarming speed.

The teen let out an embarrassingly high-pitched squeal as he dived away from them, narrowly missing their attacks. The geovishap hatchlings embedded and twirled on the ground that (M/n) was standing on not too long ago.

The electro user stared at the dents in the ground that was surrounded by shredded grass and speckles of dirt, "...uh, no thank you." His eyes were blown wide open in shock while his ears folded back against his head from fear.

What the ****! I.... I can't even imagine how strong the other vishaps would be!

The teen shakily watched the vishaps before stiffly standing up straight, "That wasn't even fair! I don't even have my sword out!" (M/n) screeched at the two 'innocent' geovishaps.

The hatchlings snarled in return at his voice, seemingly more agitated than before. They shifted into a ball before launching themselves towards the terrified (M/n) again.
