Sorry for the late update. I had a report due and of course, I didn't do it. So I rushed to try and get it finished, still didn't yet though so, lol.

I read this chapter over a few times, but there's still probably a lot of errors and weird sounding sentence. Anyways I hope you all enjoy this chapter!

Thanks for the votes as well! •ᴗ•

Bright beams of sunlight landed on the cat's face, warming up the places that the light hit. The teen's ear twitched, and he grumbled at the brightness and the sounds of muttering and ruffling paper.

(M/n) folded his ears down to try and ignore the irritating whispering from, what he assumed to be, his fellow treasure hoarders, but it was no use.

Why the flip are they so talkative and loud in the morning?! I'm trying to sleep!

...

I'm actually gonna smack them if they don't shut up.

Sitting up, (M/n) groaned at the action and opened his eyes that were still cloudy with sleep. The boy yawned and stretched to get the stiffness out of his bones, his back bending in ways a human's could never. He flopped back, face-first, onto the comfortable black leather couch that he was just sleeping on and sighed in happiness, forgetting about his chattering teammates in an instant.

I didn't know we had such a comfortable couch at the base! It feels so nice!

(M/n) rubbed his face against the soft plush pillows laying on the couch. He curled up into a fetal position with a fancy pillow clutched in his arms, "What time is it, Freckle?" He called out into the pillow, slightly muffling his words.

Hearing no response from his leader, he removed his face from the pillow in confusion and sat up.

"Freckle?" (M/n)'s tail swayed around slowly, and his ears perked up to see if he could hear Freckle's voice. Confused, (M/n) rubbed his eyes to get rid of the remaining sleepiness lingering in them before opening them and revealing his bright eyes.

He glanced around, expecting to see the familiar Treasure Hoarder's tent that he was probably residing in but instead, it was an unfamiliar office of some sort. He tightly clenched the pillow in his arms in fear.

The teen blinked a couple of times in confusion and a tad bit of fear. He quietly glanced around again until his eyes stopped at the sight of a familiar consultant and Fatui harbinger. His tail puffed up in alarm and surprise before he blurted out, "This ain't the Treasure Hoarders' Camp..."

Their heads snapped over to the shaken cat. (M/n) froze at their burning gazes, "...Um... hi there?" He nervously muttered. He clutched the pillow closer to his body, subconsciously trying to hide his figure from those two.

Zhongli had been sitting at his desk, papers in hand with a very talkative harbinger disturbing his peaceful work. Anyone could see and feel the annoyance dripping off of the consultant's body from Childe's constant rambling.

Zhongli sighed in relief when Childe finally stopped talking and turned to (M/n).

"You've been sleeping for quite a bit. I was worried that you had caught something from this idio-, ahem, Childe." He practically huffed at the Fatui Harbinger, who cried out in disbelief at his friend's words. Childe whined and protested against Zhongli's words, causing the consultant to ignore him entirely.

Why are they acting like kids? (M/n) giggled, almost bursting in laughter from watching these two bicker like a married couple fighting.

Zhongli placed down his papers neatly before sighing at the child sulking in the corner of his office.
