🐞♥🐞"Of course I know who Ladybug is." Marinette listened to the current tales the liar was saying. It was lunchtime, so the whole class was in the lunchroom, sitting around Lila making her the center of attention.
Marinette simply sighed in her empty table. She gave up on trying to expose the liar. Initially Marinette wanted to expose her because she didn't want her friends to be influenced by her. But now they gave up on her so why shouldn't she?
She harshly ate a bite out of her sandwich as she glared at them, silently. "It seems like you don't like them," a familiar voice behind her said. Adrien! No, that voice is too deep to be Adrien's. She looked behind her and saw some familiar green eyes. Felix!
"No," she stated. She watched as he sat down in the seat next to her, while putting his lunch on the table. She noticed how harsh his eyes were watching her classmate's table. A sudden realization came upon her. "It seems you don't either," she said.
Felix moved his eyes from the toxic table to her. He nodded before speaking, "I find them quite irritating." Marinette chuckled lightly, "they could match Adrien," she remarked. Felix looked at her in amusement before curiosity took place on his face. "I've been meaning to what did my cousin do for you to have such a dislike towards him?"
Marinette froze. Millions of memories played in her head. Should I tell him? Is he trustworthy? It seemed like Felix noticed her discomfort, since he decided to change the subject. "Anyways I heard you used to be the class representative, is that true?" He asked.
Marinette sadly smiled and nodded. It was true she used to be the class representative. But unfortunately turned her position to Lila, since the class agreed they didn't want a bully to represent them. "Do you need something?" She asked. She wondered why he asked her that question. Does he need help?
"No, I just wasn't properly introduced to the school, and you would be a great help in showing me around," he said calmly. Marinette looked into his eyes, she knew there was another motive for him talking to her. She just didn't know if it was good or not. Marinette hesitated in telling him no, she didn't want to be rude nor did she want to be selfish, so she agreed. "Okay, do you want me to show you around now or later?"
"After school," he stated. Marinette nodded and looked down at her half-finished lunch. "Well I'll get going then I wouldn't want to take up too much of your time now," he said while standing up. "Wait," she suddenly said. Marinette immediately blushed at her eagerness for him to stay. She couldn't lie, talking to Felix was very enjoyable."I wouldn't mind it if you stayed," she mumbled nervously, her hands fidgeting with each other. Felix smirked at her and sat back down. He reached his hand to her, "friends?"
Marinette looked at him hesitantly. She had mixed emotions at his offer of friendship. She didn't know if she could trust him. On one hand he never gave her one reason for her to not trust him, but on the other hand she was scared. She was scared that this friendship would lead to some bad consequences. She was scared of trusting him. She was scared that this would break her. But talking to him was a breath of fresh air. She felt free to talk to him and not be judged. He was very easy to talk to. Although they haven't talked much, she somehow knew he would give wonderful advice. And it was weird for her. Even though they only just met each other, her every instinct told her that she could trust him. And that scared her.
Marinette internally took a deep breath, calming the battle of decisions inside her head. She knew this was a big step for her. But it was one of those moments where you can either be brave and take a leap of faith into the open or be a coward and hide. She raised her hand to shake his, "friends," she responded ,smiling.
I hope I don't regret this...
