"It's fine, Bennett! It's just one small sip!" A drunk boy with teal braids exclaimed. That boy was obviously Venti, the Windborne bard with a tendancy to drink. Although he might be a boy, he is definitely NOT underage, but Bennett was.
"Alright, fine. If you say it's not that bad, then a small sip wouldn't hurt." The adventure scarred boy enthusiastically replied with a slight hint of doubt seeping into his voice. Venti handed him a glass filled with a sweet smelling lime drink. "Well, as Mister Kaeya says, bottoms up!" The white blonde chugged half the glass down. Venti stared at the scene in hazy shock and horror. "Alright, this has been fun, but I would hate to keep my friend waiting. See you later!" Bennett shouted to Venti as he exited the tavern. The Bard was still too shocked to reply. What had he done.As Bennett continued on the path to the forest where his friend waited, he started to feel slightly dizzy and started stumbling around more often. He finally made it to the clearing where his wolf buddy awaited, and promptly tripped over a root sticking out from the ground, landing in mud.
"Bennett!" The silver haired wolf boy exclaimed with worry. He suddenly rose to his feet with scary agility and precision.
"Razor!" He happily called out, lazily throwing his arms around his friend. The movement contradicted his earlier agility.
"Bennett reeks of... strange sweet flower?" Razor questioned as he sniffed Bennett. He worried about the strange scent coming from his close friend.
"I missed you a lot Razor!" The young adventurer yelled, despite being not even a foot away. Razor cocked his head to the side in confusion and asked the adventurer,
"T-thank you Bennett, though you act weird, explain?"
"Oh yeah, Venti told me to drink something at the tavern, he said it would be fine." Bennett told Razor, hiccuping at the end. Razor narrowed his eyes and just stared at his slightly dumb friend, who was drunk out of his mind. He sighed and begrudgingly picked up the intoxicated boy, and set him in the center of the clearing.
"Wait. Here. Razor hunt food." He barked. The hooded wild boy quickly hunted down a boar and brought it to the ground. After that, he collected some wood and went back to the dirt clearing. Razor instructed Bennett to light the fire with his Pyro Vision. The unlucky adventurer pulled out his iron sword and set it ablaze. The boy struck the wood with a dizzy and clumsy swing of flames. The sword exstinguished itself on his command as it faded behind his back. "Here, food. Meat heal." Razor brought back meat from the campfire after it had finished cooking. Bennett happily exclaimed,
"You take such good care of mee~" Razor looked at Bennett with a confusion. "You almost treat me as if we're married, I loove you~" The boy prattled on. Love? Razor remembered a conversation he had with Bennett when they got trapped at the Thousands Winds Temple."Gah, I need to finish the love poem Venti asked me to write!" The white haired boy exclaimed from the cold and cracked cement floor. Razor tilted his head.
"Love po-em?" He asked from the other side of the barred doors, crawling closer to the person on the other side.
"It's a nice sounding letter you write you a loved one." Bennett explained while digging through his small bag. The white blonde kept saying this love word that Razor didn't understand.
"What is love you talk about?" He asked through the bars. His friend immediately stopped shuffling through his bag and met Razor's confused gaze. Disbelief sparked in Bennett's kiwi colored eyes.
"It's um...a feeling you have for something important to you.It was at this point Razor ceased to function. He turned red from ear to non existent tail. Snuffing out the fire with his foot, he moved next to Bennett. He then raised one of his hands, and then, using his vision, knocked the adventurer out cold. "Mate. Benny my lupical." Razor whispered, and then laid down besides his lupical, wrapping his arms around him and holding him close.
...
Bennett awoke under a bed of leaves, feeling thirsty and yet warm. His head felt fuzzy, and he tried to recount the dream he had. Bennett tried to sit up, only to find a pair of arms holding him down. He looked behind him and almost jumped when he saw Razor, still asleep and clinging on to him with a slight smile on his face. Bennett froze, his only thought being," I thought it was a dream, I thought it was a dream...". During the adventurers confusion, a certain wolf had began to stir. "Benny?" The sleepy voice called. His red face turned to meet the tired, yet adorable ruby eyes. Bennett quickly broke out of the wolfs grasp and began to frantically apologize. "I-I am so so sorry, I probably weirded you out!" The pale kid fretted. The wolf simply shook his head and reached up to cling onto his now mate. "R-Razor?" Bennett asked, confused on what he was doing. "Benny is my lupical. Mate. Razor love Bennett." The wolf replied, somehow not getting flustered. Bennett turned a bright red, barely able to understand the wolf's words. Razor then looked up at Bennett, and they locked eyes. Razor cupped Bennetts cheeks in his hands and pulled him in for a short yet tender kiss. Energy surged through Bennett. He felt the world melt away. The kiss carried all of Razor's bottled up feelings and emotions. Crazy how all that could happen in a second or two. The wolf pulled away and licked Bennett's nose, hoping to calm him down. "I...can I say this to you now, without being drunk and all- I love you Razor. Will you be my mate?" The boy asked, still red. " Silly bunny. Already mate." The wolf boy giggled a bit. "B-bunny!? Where did that come from!?" A flustered Bennett inquired. Razor only responded with a quick lick on the nose. "Getting late. You should go." Razor told Bennett, a hint of sadness evident in his voice. Bennett stood up and brushed the leaves off of him. Razor whimpered as Bennett walked away while waving.
When Bennett got home to Mondstadt, he immediatly sought out to find Venti, still debating on killing him or thanking him. As he neared the tavern, he heard loud yelling, and quickened his pace. He rounded the corner, and was pretty confused about what he saw. Diluc smashed a wine bottle over the bard's sorry head. Diluc was the Bartender and owner of the tavern, who wasn't on duty when the inncedent went down. "No more drinks until the next Windblume!" He yelled. "I'll be dead before then." He quietly mumbled while dusting the sugar glass shards off his fancy green clothes.
The End.
