Sun-hee POV
It was the weekend and I was down at the diner working. I was currently going towards the back when the bell rings signalling a customer has come in.
"Welco-" I cut myself off when I see who just walked in. "Oh, hello Bakugou. Are you here for a refill on the tea I gave you?"
He didn't respond for a few moments and I didn't blame him. Normally, I'm stoic and holding a studious outlook. Now, instead of my regular look, my hair was in a long braid and I was wearing a long, pink, floral dress.
He eventually snapped out of it. "Tch, yeah. The old hag found the tea and forced me to get more." He's strangely docile today.
"I see. Come over to the counter and I'll get you some." I went behind the counter and prepared a bag for the tea leaves, putting it on the scale. "How many grams do you want?"
"60 grams," he answers, looking at the menu. I nod and scoop the tea leaves into the bag. I place it in a box and place it next to the register.
"You'll be charged for this one since this business is our living."
"Yeah, whatever." I type in the price into the register. I look back at him and he's looking at the menu. "The ramen you have, how spicy can you make it?"
"Well, that depends. How spicy do you want it?"
"As spicy as you can make it."
I raise an eyebrow and call out to the kitchen, "Dad! You got the Gochugaru?"
His head appears from the side of the open window. "You don't ask for that often. Is someone willing to take the Ultimate Spice Challenge?"
"That isn't a thing. No matter how many times you say it, it will never be a thing," I deadpan. "Can you just ask Mr. Tanaka to add it to the ramen for one of our customer's? Make it about a tablespoon."
"Are you sure? I don't want to hurt our dear customer."
"WHAT?! YOU DON'T THINK I CAN HANDLE IT?!" Bakugo yelled at my father, who cowered in fear. Aaand there it is.
"PLEASE DON'T HURT ME! I JUST CARE ABOUT YOUR WELL BEING!"
"I DON'T NEED YOUR DAMN CONCERN, YOU OLD BASTARD!"
"I'm sorry to interrupt this enlightening conversation," I cut in. "But, you're disturbing our other patrons and arguing about this is useless. Can you please just ask Mr. Tanaka to add the Gochugaru to his ramen? And Bakugou, can you please refrain from yelling at my father?"
"Tch."
"Yes honey. Right away," my dad whimpered and scurried off back into the kitchen.
"*Sigh* I'm very sorry for my father. He's a bit of an eccentric. But, please refrain from yelling. You'll scare our patrons. Also..." I go below the counter and pull out a paper and pen. "Though it is something that my father created, and not something we advertise, we are legally obligated to create a waiver. So, if you could please sign here. It basically means that you know the dangers of the dish and we are not responsible for any illnesses or health complications."
He signs the waiver and huffs out, "I know what a waiver is, Puzzle Bitch." Puzzle Bitch? That's new.
"Just making sure. Any drinks?"
"Just water."
I type in the price into the register. "That'll be ¥1,450 ($13.31)."
He places a ¥2000 bill on the counter. I take it and give him his change. "Take a seat while you wait for your order."
