Looks Like It

It's nearing autumn which means, jeongguk's birthday.

which means his bestriend's boyfriend, jimin (who is also his bestfriend) took his sweet time planning his birthday. at his apartment.

which jeongguk never usually minds but today? haha

This year, jimin had invited the other members of their so called friendship group to come with, and celebrate with him. because jimin knows how hard this year had been on his bestfriend, there was college stress, his pet parrot who can't stop squawking, and  jeongguk's heart wrenchingly tragic crush on taehyung, who everyone knows is straight.

like straight straight.

jeongguk had been unlikely quiet lately, but jimin could tell from the way  that he saw how guk has been looking at taehyung from afar that he still liked him. jimin thinks that it was such a tragic crush to have. 

but he knew taehyung and he knows that the boy is straighter than the word straight. taehyung is an amazing friend, but jimin knows in his heart that he would just have to be there for jeongguk, for when he ever had the guts to confess his crush on the straight guy.

that was why he woke up extra early this special morning, forced (but not really, because he is willing) jin to cook breakfast, asked hoseok and namjoon to bring a cake (because they're the only one who is rich, and tae), so there was only a little bit of work once they get to jeongguk's lonely apartment -except, yoongi who has been the one driving, painstakingly slow.

they reached towards tha loft apartment, which  jimin of course had a key, and so he invited himself and the others in as quiet as possible, shooting guk's blue parrot a silent shhh (which the parrot had agreed, because it only listen to jimin) he ordered namjoon to bring the cake, that he silently prays that he doesn't accidentally drop down.

as jimin and the others silently set up the last bit of breakfast pancake (which he added with chocolate chip and banana), he smiled to himself. This looks awesome, surely jeongguk would be absolutely thrilled seeing that it was made by yours truly.

it was nearing lunch that they decided to wake the birthday  boy up.

as they were walking to the latter room a series of "shh" every now and then would erupt. "remember on the count of three -no not one two three happy birthday, yoongi- we yell 'one two happy birthday', okay?" his friends nodded, and the blonde boy took a deep breath.

 slowly opening the door, they stepped into the room one by one. their footsteps were muffled by the white fluffy carpet. he could practically feel the tension shared between all of them, and he watched his best friend with fondness, his shirtless back facing the door and his friends.

in the past years whenever jimin visits in the morning, he tended to just jump into the bed with jeongguk, but he wasn't so sure this year how well guk's bed would fit with five people jumping into it. taehyung wasn't here, because he was visiting his family back in daegu and jimin couldn't be mad at the boy for that. 

"okay", jimin whispered, namjoon's finger is on the light switch, ready to flip it. "one, two- 

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY !!," they all cheered as yoongi popped a party popper, and namjoon switching on the light. jimin and the others where smiling and cheering as jeongguk turned around and sit up in on the bed, rubber his eyes with one of his hand. the latter had a confused smile on his face, with a matching furrowed eyebrows, and jimin was about to jump himself into his bestfriend-

"gguk-ah" a figure huddled close to jeongguk's bare side, had muttered. 

"taehyung?," seokjin choked.

they all had widened their eyes, seeing taehyung, as red as his hair or that of a tomatoe, right beside jeongguk's bare body.

their blanket is thankfully thick, but with the light on jimin could see their clothes scattered all across the floor. it stopped covering them at both of their chests, letting the whole world to see taehyung's naked chest-

"holy fuck, are you a fucking vampire jeongguk?," jin had said seeing as the supposedly straight boy's neck and collarbone full of love bites. taehyung had glowed red, if that's even possible, and pulled the duvet up over him, stealing them from jeongguk a little, to cover up his best better. 

that move, however, had led to the covers only falling over the bottom of the younger's back, letting the whole world see the scratches running up his back, like a tiger, or a bear.

jeongguk, unlike the red hair, wasn't blushing. "don't worry, he can still walk,"  he replied, like he was just having a normal conversation. After he said that, though, taehyung grimaced, and when jeongguk looked down and saw his boyfriend's uncomfortable expression (he was probably able to feel tae's body tense from how closely they were entangled, the birthday boy's arm wrapped around tae's waist), 

"Uh. it's not what it looks like?" jeongguk had said.

jimin raised an eyebrow, "really?"

taehyung bit his lip, and started trying to explain himself, "it's n-nothing -r-really,"

" it looks like it," jimin interrupted, voice rasp and a weird feeling settling in his stomach. Why didn't he tell me? a part of Jimin asks himself. "it looks like you two are together, or at least sleeping together, and have been hiding it for a long time."

and it was a little malicious, but the heavy, slightly betrayed feeling in jimin's stomach led him to carry on, "and judging by the lingerie on the floor, jeongguk, you also have some sort of kink for seeing tae in red. i hope you're using the proper care techniques for that quality material," jimin sounds upset.

if taehyung wasn't already glowing really red, he is now and jimin feels a little guilty. "But! You two probably need a moment, so just come out in a few. we have breakfast ready, just come outside if you two are ready, tae-ah. Happy birthday guk!"

"thanks jimin-hyung," jeongguk replied, a look in his eyes saying sorry. with everyone just standing around, it was still awkward, so Jimin took it upon himself to start hustling everyone out the door.

"come on everyone, you wouldn't want everyone just staring at you in this state, would you?"

"hoseok would,"

"HEY!"

thank you guys for waiting "^", im sorry i went hiatus for awhile but class is nearing end haha and i think im going to have to stop this taekook oneshot around chapt. 30 or 50. 

have you seen bangbangcon21? it was super  fun and really emotional towards the end T^T
