Chapter 1: The First Night

It's been a week since I have been reincarnated as Lilou El Rodrine.

An extra in a smutty romance novel called 'Your lovely Smile' which I had read in my previous life before getting into a car accident and waking up in this new body.At first I had been really confused and I had thought that I was dreaming but after a few days when I slowly started recovering the original Lilou's memories, I realized I had been given another chance to live my life.

Lilou El Rodrine was the only daughter of Count Rodrine and as a result she was pampered by the Count and therefore was a spoiled brat.Countess Rodrine her mother had died due to a miscarriage and since then Lilou had been taken care of by her nannies as the Count had to carry out his duties as the head of the family.

Lilou was just one of the many young noble women who were infatuated with the main male leads.Thats it.That was Lilou's only role in the novel.

She was just there in maybe two or three scenes in which she and her friends would follow the main male leads around battling their eyelashes and trying to get their attention.

To be honest I didn't even remember Lilou El Rodrine but after getting the original Lilou's past memories I had been able to recognize the main female lead and the main villainess who had been trying to bully her in a party that Lilou too had attended.Thats when I had realized that I had been reincarnated in this novel. 

After realizing where and who I was, I quickly adapted to the new lifestyle which was easy, after all Lilou was a Count's daughter and had no scarcity when it came to living a luxurious life.

It was an easy and comfortable life.

Being an extra wasn't bad, especially when you were a count's only daughter.

Now my only wish was to continue living such a blissful life and in order to ensure that I had to try to avoid the main leads.Especially the main male lead, Duke Rhysand Alaistair who was notorious for being an obsessive tsundere who killed people mercilessly before he met and fell in love with the main female lead.

In the novel the Duke meets the female lead during the Winter Solstice Masquerade Ball and today was the day this ball would take place which meant the official plot would soon start.I too was invited to this ball and I decided to attend this ball even though I wanted to avoid an encounter with the duke but this would be first encounter between the duke and the female lead and therefore I wanted to be there to witness it from the sidelines.

I quickly changed into a red dress which matched the colour of my eyes and perfectly captured each and every one of my curves.

I let my shiny orange hair loose and wore a silver feathered mask.

Then I left for Marquess Herondale's estate as the marquess was the one holding the Winter ball.

After some time I reached the Marquess' estate and entered the ballroom which was filled with men and women wearing masks talking to each other in groups.

I walked over to a group of women talking to each other.All of them were talking about things like the recent fashion trends and the new couples in the empire.

When all of a sudden a woman with long peach hair and bright caramel eyes joined our group and started talking with us.I recognized this woman due to the uncommon colour of her hair and eyes.

She was the main female lead of the novel, Sylvia Delacruz who was the daughter of  Viscount Delacruz.

She was the cream of the curd.

Even the mask could do little to hide her beauty.

If she was here this meant that the Duke would also be somewhere around here.Therefore I quickly picked up a drink and left the group in order to avoid meeting the duke in case he notices the female lead.

I left the crowded ballroom to look for the restroom.I took a few sips of my drink and my memory after that was blurry.

When I slowly opened my eyes, sunlight shone on my eyes.My body felt drained and as my vision cleared up, a breath left my mouth.

Sprawled before me was a black-haired man who was naked and I was locked in his embrace.I quickly ransacked my mind in order to recollect the memories from last night.

I vaguely remembered grabbing someone and then some memories flashed inside my head. Blurry memories of last night that instantly heated up my face.

I slowly tried to get out of his embrace when his eyes flew open and now a pair of golden eyes greeted me as this man said, 'Don't you dare try to run away.'

Black Hair.Golden eyes.

I now recognized this man before me.

He was Duke Rhysand Alaistair.
