((Sam's POV))

I was hungry, my head was throbbing in pain, and my neck was sore. Although that's a given since I had my neck snapped.

I opened my eyes and saw that I was no longer outside; I was now inside, laying on the living room couch. I groaned as I sat up and looked around to see if Colby was here. I didn't see him. I think he might be out getting me blood because he said that's what he was going to do while I was... dead? Is that the right word? I don't know. Ugh. My head can't take this right now.

I don't know how much time went by before Colby came back. When he did, I could smell a strong scent of blood; it smelt really good.

"Hey, you're awake. How are you feeling?" Colby asked once he walked into the living room and saw me. I looked in his hand and saw a blood bag. "My head hurts and I'm absolutely starving." I complained. "That's normal. Don't worry. This, however, will make you feel better." Colby handed me the blood bad that was in his hand. I took it after hesitating for a few seconds.

I opened the top of it then started to drink from it. The blood tasted like... like a sweet, Heavenly nectar, that no human would be able to describe. I felt a warmth inside of me every sip I took. I could feel my canine teeth start to grow at a fast rate, making my gums and teeth burn in pain. I felt something coming out from the bottom of my eyes then realized that they were veins.

I licked my lips to get the blood off of them when I finished the bag. I didn't think it would taste like that. To be honest, I didn't really know what it would taste like.

"So how'd you like it?" Colby asked once I our the bad down. "It was really good." I told him with a small smile. "You see why vampires like it so much?" Colby chuckled. I nodded then saw Colby started to leave the room.

"Where are you going?" I asked him. "If I stay here any longer with the smell of the blood then I will turn into a Ripper." Colby told me. I made an 'O' shape with my mouth then put the empty blood bag in a garbage that was in the living room and followed Colby out of the room.

We went outside to sit on one of the benches that there were. Colby's arm was wrapped around me and my head was resting on his shoulder. We were sat in silence for a while, just looking at the sky, and the things surrounding us.

"When are we going to do it?" Colby spoke after the silence. I looked at him with confusion but then understood. "And you're going to do it with me?" I asked. Colby nodded, "Of course I am. I won't be able to live a day without seeing you." He said to me with a small smile. "I love you." I kissed his lips. "I love you too." Colby kissed me back then we went back to our original positions.

~Time Skip~

Colby and I were still outside. It was dark out and time to get ready to do my plan; to drive a stake through our hearts. When we die, Colby and I will go on The Other Side with Harper, Elton and Cole. Plus when Tara dies she will go over there too. And maybe Tara—if I leave her a message—could turn Devyn into a vampire so she could be over there with us as well.

Colby was inside right now getting two stakes. I quickly took out my phone and went onto Tara's contact to text her. I told her about everything that was about to happen, and told her about what I thought she could do to Devyn. When I was done I turned off my phone and set it on silent.

I soon saw Colby approach me with two stakes in his hand. "Here." He said as he handed me one. I took it with a shaky hand. "Are you nervous?" Colby asked. "You're not?" I chuckled lightly. "I have been a vampire since 1864. I'm not nervous; I'm ready." He told me. Somehow, his words made my nervousness calm down. "Okay... let's do this." I said bravely. 

Colby and I stood in front of each other, only a foot apart. I pressed my stake against his heart and his against my heart. "I didn't think my death would end up being as I vampire." I said. "But I'm happy that it is and even happier that it's with you." I added, looking into Colby's eyes. "Out of everyone in my long life that I have met, I would only want to do this with you." Colby told me.

We leaned in and pressed our lips together. I could feel the stake go through my chest and to my heart, and I know that the same was happening to Colby. But that didn't make us pull apart. Our lips were still attached and our kiss was very loving and passionate.  

I could feel my body start to harden and stiffen. Colby and I finally pulled apart. I saw that his face was almost fully grey, with a small smile on his face. Then, everything went black...
