"HURRY UP! Its gonna start any minute!" Astra whined pulling me through the corridors down towards the qudditch pitch.
"We can't miss the start of the game!" Artemis echoed as she dragged sirius along in a similar manner.
I couldn't help but chuckle at the two girls love for the sport that had been forster into them through multiple 'training's sessions with Harry. rushing through the corridors witht he two excited ten year olds i couldn't help but see echoes of my time in hogwarts, the excited faces of james and sirius as they rushed towards the pitch in their Gryffindor quidditch kits. the images were so familiar and in a way haunting. I couldn't help but think these two girls were gonna cause a lot of trouble.
"Do you think Gryffindor will win?" Astra asked as she continued to pull be through the hall ways.
"Of course they will they've the youngest seeker of the century" Sirius chimed cutting in as he resorted to carrying Artemis in order to hurry down the halls at a more comfortable pace.
"Still don't know how comfortable i am with these matches contiueing, they're very exposed" I grumbled. Pettigrew was still out there and this is the ideal setting for him to slip in and out again unnoticed.
"Moony, love, it will be fine. Dumbledore will be there, so will the council Pettigrew wouldn't show his face, he's too much of a coward" Sirius tried to comfort me. "besides those blasted dementors are still lurking about. Just try and enough the day? please?"
"Enough chatting we. got. to. go. We promised harry!" Astra whined causing us to laugh. she was so adorable when she was trying to be angry.
With that in mind we made our way to the staff stand to watch the match but my mind kept drifting to harry. we would have artemis and astra beside us for the duration of the match but Harry, he was out in the open. he'd be easy enough to grab. something about this match just didn't sit right with me. The weather outside didn't help either.
The wind was so strong that as we staggered sideways as climbed the stairs into the stands, before we even got to our seats we were all drenched, soaked to the bones and yet Sirius, Artemis and Astra were all still smiling from ear to ear. waiting in anticipaction fo rthe match to start.
If the crowd was cheering, we couldn't hear it over the fresh rolls of thunder. The teams came out from understands, and staggered out ontil the pitch fighting against the elements to stay stand. Harry kept trying to wipe his glasses as he walked. Clearly irritated by the visiual impairment the rain was giving his.
"How on earth was he going to see the Snitch in this weather?" I yelled over to sirius, who looked equally nervous about the prospects of the match as well as harry's safety.
Should they really be playing in these conditions?
The Hufflepuffs team approached from the opposite side of the field, their canary-yellow robes easily noticable in against the contrasting darkness of the natural elements.
"Astra think you could stop the rain?" Artemis whispered to her cousin with a cheeky smile.
"I dunno... I've never tried... I can try but no promises?" I heard her reply as she looked out at the sky, concentration clear on her face as down on the pitch the Captains walked up to each other and shook hands; neither team seemed happy about the weather conditions for the game.
I could barely make out the words that were being exchanged between the two captains and Madam Hooch until i noticed the older woman's mouth form the words, "Mount Your brooms."
In sync the children all pulled their right foot out of the mud with a squelch and swung it over their brooms ready to kick off for the start of the match.
