Getting car sick was probably not the coolest thing when you were trying to be the bad guy and even less when you were supposed to act as the support for the girl whose father you had just carbonized. Even if she asked you to. But there was not much he could do about it and, like the pathetic excuse for a villain he considered himself to be right now, Dabi stood close to the door on the back of the truck, taking deep breaths and resisting the urge to jump out. Meanwhile, it was Compress who sat close to Y/N, trying his best not to be awkward... which was awkward on itself.
They sure had expected you to crumble to pieces, cry and completely lose your mind. However, you did nothing but stare blankly ahead, unbothered by the situation you were in.
"So..." Compress started. You shook your head.
Shigaraki was travelling above the truck, nobody asked why and nobody truly cared. If all, it was good to have a pair of eyes out there in case heroes tailed you. Somehow, he had managed to stay in position even through Spinner's lack of driving skills. There were no voices coming from inside the truck, which annoyed him a bit. Not that he was worried about you, he didn't had the time for that, but if you became a ticking bomb, he wasn't sure keeping you around was the best idea.
The rest of the long trip to the outskirts of the city went by in comfortable silence, at least for you. You weren't confused at all by the emotions swirling inside of you, more like standing in the eye of a storm, dangerously quiet. Something about murdering your father felt fair, as if you had brought yourself justice even though you didn't fully remember what his crime was.
As the vehicle came to a stop, Tomura jumped off it. Twice and Toga's voices already reaching him from inside the rotting wooden house you were going to stay in temporarily. Given the circumstances, they had not been able to find a new place and were running from one abandoned building to another.
He waited a moment for a dizzy Dabi to exit the truck quickly followed by the rest of you. The teal haired man stared at you for a moment, pondering over many things he wanted to say to you but there was only one he needed to ask now.
"Why did you come back to us?"
Everyone's eyes were on you but what were you meant to say? So I am fucking dumb and decided to go back to my kidnappers arms, would be really difficult to explain and it sure as hell wasn't the truth. At least not entirely. He pushed.
"There were heroes at the Shie Hassaikai, (Y/N)."
The lack of a response was starting to get to him. However, you stared back, unfazed, as the corner of his eye twitched slightly. Dabi took a step forward, standing between the both of you, partly to save himself the headache of dealing with an angry handman, partly to protect you. His brow was slightly furrowed.
"Is it about your family?"
"..."
He sighed. "Come on."
"I killed him." The matter of fact tone reached him, detached like a crime reporter.
"No, I did."
"Because I asked-"
He cut you off. "Doesn't matter, I did."
Tomura rolled his eyes, he wasn't getting the answers he wanted. He dismissed the two of you going inside the house, Compress and Spinner right behind him, while you and Dabi had a staring contest. There was a pressing matter though: getting out of sight before anyone noticed you standing outside. Although you weren't in the city, there were still enough civilians around to be wary of someone recognizing him.
He walked past you, grabbing you by the arm. "Let's go."
"Where...?"
"You're so painfully annoying sometimes."
