———

The sound of a gunshot echoed into the four corners of a closed warehouse, deafening the ears of other people but him— he was so used to the sound of explosion and bullet shells hitting the ground that he did not even budge when the body of the man dropped to the ground.

Min Tae Gu finished yet another job. He was a nameless target, and the only things he needed to know about the man was that the agent gave him the codename of Major, and the ten million won on top of his head.

When he was about to leave, his body slowly shrank, taking in a feminine form. He looked at the face of who had been his mark— Major— now a woman with the softest features. He knows this woman, but can't remember where and when he saw her. Nothing made sense, but all he could think about was there was dread lingering inside his body upon seeing her.

And when he remembered where he saw that woman, his whole body shook.

Then everything went black.

Min Tae Gu found himself surrounded with crates of guns. Behind him, his men handled the shipment with ease.

All went by perfect— he saw how his client wired the money to his offshore account, and the moment he did, Min Tae Gu found himself shooting him in the head.

Ambush.

When he had pulled the trigger, everything turned into slow motion except him— even the bullet that had left his gun was going at a ridiculously slow pace.

The body of his client morphed to that of a woman, someone familiar, someone he hasn't seen before. When he recognized her, the moment went back to its original pace.

He couldn't find the bullet, but there was a body in front of him.

Then everything went black.

In front of Min Tae Gu was a computer screen, with a beautiful woman with a terror stricken expression on her face.

He knew this all too well.

Min Tae Gu tried to move his arms but it felt like he was not in control of his own body. Two hostages knelt in front of him— beaten and bloody.

Before he knew it, his body was drawing his gun to shoot one of the hostages, and no matter how much he tried to stop it, his finger already pulled the trigger.

"No. No. No!"

There was a faint contact in his face as Chae Yoon repeatedly tapped him to wake him up. He heard her— clearly, but could not comprehend where he was, or what was he doing.

"Min Tae Gu? Min Tae Gu." His eyes bore into her own darkened orbs that are full of worry. "Baby. Baby. Wake up," Chae Yoon grunts while trying so hard to shake his heavy masculine frame.

For a moment he was dazed and confused, like he cannot decipher for the life of him if this is reality or still yet another dream loop.

Her features were on the softest state they have ever been, and he was once again reminded how this woman came to mean the world to him. It painfully occured to Min Tae Gu that if there is really a higher being in this world, then he must be slowly making him pay for all his sins.

The almost never ending loop of his dreams would only end in one scenario, leaving him traumatized in ways more than one that he didn't know if he could ever have a minute of sleep after this torture.
