no ones pov;tommy laid just under a tall sturdy tree his arms folded sloppily under his head. staring up at the navy blue sky, tears covering his pink tinted cheeks.
"why so blue?"
the younger didn't have to sit up to know who was trying to talk to him. the kind voice had told him everything he knew.
"or better, have some blue."
ghostbur floated just above tommy so they were now seeing each other. he dropped some blue, it landing on his tummy.
tommy sat up collecting the dark color in his hands. he gripped it tightly feeling more tears rush through.
"look i've heard of how terrible i had of been, but i'm so sorry for anything alivebur did." the pale spirit now hovered just an inch above the grass, his legs crossed as he sat in front of his alive brother. "truly."
the blondes hands clenched so tightly around the blue his knuckles began to turn white. he brought his fists up to his face and sobbed into the blue.
"i wanted to be just like you." he mumbled. "do everything you do."
"oh,"ghostbur let himself sit on the green grass. "well i th-"
"you meant so much to me. i know you never noticed, or if you did you didn't care." he finally met ghostbur's eyes. "we were gonna run manburg."
"you would have been a fine president tommy."
"don't!" tommy stood to his feet dropping the blue. "don't say that, you don't get to say that!"
"oh no no tommy-"
"you were the one who said i couldn't, i wasn't fit to be president. you called it nothing but a fantasy."
ghostbur floated up to tommy then circled around him. "no tommy, that was alivebur," he ran a cold hand through the blondes hair. "i understand that alivebur wasn't very great at times, or most the times.
but he did have good intentions, and he loved you just as much tommy.""how would you know that!" tommy spun around. "you're not wilbur!"
ghostbur sighed, "then why do you call me him?"
tommy stopped, everything seemed to slow down for him. ghostbur was right, he'd sat here this whole time yelling at him as if he were wilbur. he knew he wasn't, but deep down he wanted him to be.
"ghostbur..." he fell to his knees.ghostbur appeared in front of the younger on his knees. he held his hands out to tommy which he had the blue in them that he'd given him earlier.
tommy looked up and softly grinned at the spirit. he took the blue from him and stood. with every muscle in his body, which he knew wasn't a lot, he threw the blue as far as it would go.
"wilbur would be very proud of you tommy."
"thanks wil," tommy looked over the field. "thank you."
