He only has eyes for Veronica Lodge, she only has eyes for Archie Andrews. Right?

"I'm fine." Sweet Pea groaned sitting up for the couch he was passed out on, "Pea-", "I'm fine Topaz. Leave. It. Alone." Sweet Pea spat at her standing up and rubbing his head.

"I just have headache." He said a little calmer now, "You drank half the bar dude." Fangs laughed at his best friend, he got a glare in response.

"I have to go." Sweet Pea barley mumbled grabbing his jacket and leaving the trailer leaving his two best friends to look at each other knowingly.

Sweet Pea went back to his trailer sitting on the couch and running his fingers threw his dark locks, he was slowly breaking.

Watching them kiss everyday at school, being on the side lines, being her "friend" it was all the much.

They had school today, that means another day of watching Veronica sit on Archie's lap, he wasn't even worthy of her love so why was he so torn up?

He knew they didn't have a chance in this world, Northside rich girl and broke Southside scum.

Funny.

Sweet Pea got in the shower the hot water stinging his back letting him know he was still here and the pain was all to real.

He stepped out and slowly got dressed, did his hair, "Can't slip up." He would mumbled to himself every morning.

Sweet Pea was "fine" after all, that's what he want's everyone to believe anyway, was it true?

Only he could know.

Sweet Pea grabbed his motorcycle keys and walked outside, the cold November air hitting his face.

There it was, the realization of being alive, of being on the Earth he so badly wanted to get off of.

You're probably thinking, "Over a girl? That's dumb.." It wasn't just the girl, it was his life.

Sweet Pea lived in a tiny trailer on the Southside, his mom living happily on the Northside with better kids, who have a better father.

Sweet Pea was a mistake that his mom got rid of the second he was born, a mistake no one wanted, no one could keep longer than week.

His temper gets the better of him, his anger towards the world, towards everyone.

Sweet Pea pushed his thoughts aside for now and got on his bike before speeding down the roads of the Southside, no cops cared or wanted to pull him over, he wasn't worth it.

Sweet Pea pulled into the school parking lot and took off his helmet and put it on the handle.

He smoothed his hair back with his hand, his cocky smirk plastered on his face like everyday, he was "fine" he was a cocky Serpent after all.

He walked to the doors of Riverdale high, his eyes landing on a certain couple, he just looked down and kept walking, "Sweets!" Her overly preppy voice yelled.

It would've been annoying if he wasn't head over boots for her.

"V." He smiled leaning down to hug her, the height difference was insane.

"Come hang out with us you big lug." Veronica joked pulling him threw the students and into the student lounge, he saw his friends and tried the big smile he was known for but got a small smirk.

Sweet Pea knew his Southside friends knew, but he still chose to pretended they didn't.

Veronica smiled at Sweet Pea and took her seat beside the "perfect" Archie Andrews.

Sweet Pea cleared his throat and sat next to Toni, she gave him a sad smile he didn't react, couldn't let himself care.

They talked for what felt like forever, the way Archie looked at Veronica, the way he grabbed her hand, it was all to much for Sweet Pea to take.

He was hung over and moody, he didn't need this, when Archie started kissing Veronica's neck it chipped away the final piece, the piece Sweet Pea was trying to hold onto.

"FUCK!" He growled standing up and storming out, everyone was starring at the door but of course the only people who cared enough to follow him, did.

Fangs, Toni and, Veronica.

Archie didn't of course, it was Sweet Pea a Serpent.

"Sweets wait!" Veronica screamed, he couldn't look at her, the anger overtaking him, if Fangs walked over he was sure to knock the poor guys lights out.

"Sweet Pea-" Fangs started, Sweet Pea swung at him, to pissed to care, he threw Fangs into a locker, the girls shocked at Sweet Pea's actions.

"PEA STOP!" Toni screamed, Fangs just looked at Sweet Pea, "Hit me." Fangs mumbled, Sweet Pea wanted to, he wanted to get his anger out, but instead he pulled Fangs into his arms.

Fangs groaned and patted his back, "I know buddy c'mon let's go." Fangs mumbled leading Sweet Pea out of the school, they were skipping.

(Back at the school)

"What the hell just happened?" Veronica asked looking at the boys who were leaving, she knew something was up.

She was praying Sweet Pea didn't find out Archie was abusive, he would surely kill the red head.

"Veronica I hate to pop your Northside bubble, but you're killing him, you're breaking my best friend." Toni said crossing her arms.

Veronica was confused, she had no clue what the other girl was talking about, how the hell was she breaking Sweet Pea, "Sorry?" Veronica asked.

"Look, it's not your fault, it's his. He knows your with Archie and yet, he still love-" Toni cut herself off, her eyes going wide at the words coming out of her mouth.

She promised Sweet Pea she would never tell Veronica how he felt, never tell anyone matter of fact, and yet, here she was spilling all of his secrets to Veronica.

Veronica was confused, sure she saw the way he looked at Archie, she always though it was because of the Northside Southside problem.

Veronica shook her head and ran after Sweet Pea has fast as she could in her heels, she didn't know her red head "boy friend" was following her.

Veronica needed to understand, understand why Sweet Pea didn't just tell her, didn't let her in, she needed to know.
