"So let me get this straight: you're telling me you don't think Harry's just a little bit attractive?" I sipped my lemonade.
Lauren shrugged. "I mean, he's alright I guess, but he's just too much of a boy. He's always hitting on me." She wrinkled her nose.
"Lauren, who isn't." I rolled my eyes.
"I'm serious! He's doing it in a creepy way. Like, the way where boys act like the girls always want them. He's too full of himself to realize the girl keeps turning him down." She popped a french fry into her mouth.
"That was the weirdest, most accurate thing you have ever said." I giggled.
"But I mean, I guess he's okay." She finished.
"He's...strange." I added.
"What?" Lauren choked on her burger.
Lauren had taken me out to one of the 'greatest burger joints in town', according to Dinah.
"At first he was all whatever with me, then he acted like he actually cared about me. He apologized for his actions and told me the reason behind them, which I thought was a little reasonable but still kinda strange."
"And that reason was....?"
"He told me he has mean friends, and that he's known like two of them forever. Their roomates hang out with them so basically they have this major group, and that the meanness rubs off of him and that's why he acts like it. I don't know, he's strange."
"That seems kind of....reasonable. But in an oddly way. Who are his friends? And why can't he just make more?"
"Oh, right," I took another sip of my lemonade. "He said he couldn't make friends with anyone because they're too scared of him or hate him or whatever, so he just sticks with them."
"Guys are so weird." Lauren added pepper onto her fries.
"Tell me about it." I rolled my eyes.
"You know you're so much more relaxed about the subject of guys." Lauren stated.
"I shrugged." Well I mean I'm older and a lot more mature than what I used to be. Plus I'm stronger and haven't been bullied in, like, a year." I admitted.
"I'm so proud of you, Camz!" Lauren gushed. "I bet you'll have a boyfriend this year."
"Yeah, like I'm gonna have some major transformation overnight and look like a Victoria's Secret model. You're right Lauren." I sarcastically stated.
"Okay well you didn't have to be so sarcastic about it, jeez," She pouted. "and you don't need to look like a VS model to have a boyfriend. He should like you for you."
"Maybe I could get one if these disappeared." I said, pointing towards my cheeks.
"Camz, shut up! Everyone loves your cheeks, I love your cheeks, even Dinah loves your cheeks. You're adorable!" Lauren leaned over and pinched my cheeks.
I playfully frowned and patted my cheeks. "I'm still hungry." I rubbed my stomach.
"You ate a double cheeseburger and fries...Are you sure you're hungry, or are you just bored?" Lauren laughed.
"Oh, I'm hungry. Because you someone left me in a foodless sanctuary." I joked. Lauren slapped my arm.
"Hey! How many times do I have to tell you I'm sorry!" Lauren whined.
"I'm kidding. But I still want another burger." I smirked.
"Fine. I'll go order one."
I victoriously smiled.
