Waking up to the sound of my phone going off made me groan into my pillow. This means I have to actually get out of bed and get ready for what I've been dreading for a while: School. I haven't been to school in 2 days and I'm pretty sure I forgot all of my professors' names.

"Camz? Turn off your alarm," I hear Lauren brushing her teeth in the bathroom. Since when did she get up before me?

I grabbed my phone as the sound continue to go off, but instead of the lock screen reading 'get up you lazy shit' it was an emergency alert.

"Flash flood warning in this area until further notice?" I read the screen, furrowing my eyebrows.

Lauren nodded her head. "There was a storm last night. You didn't hear it?" She questioned me.

"No, there was a storm?" How could there be a storm? I'm such a light sleeper, I can never sleep through anything.

"Yeah, a severe thunderstorm and everything. It was crazy, I woke up to the sound of a tree limb snapping. All these trees got knocked down, the power went out--the power's still out I think..." She paused to turn on the bathroom light, which didn't come on. She shook her head, continuing: "And the campus is flooded. They canceled classes for today and for the next few days." She grabbed her comb from the vanity.

"And I slept through all of that?!" I gasped, getting up to stretch.

"It's probably that medicine you're still on. That stuff knocks you out, man." She said.

"So what are we gonna do? I'm sure we can't go anywhere." As soon as I questioned it Dinah walked in with her phone up to her ear.

"Yeah I'll ask, hold on Mani." Dinah said into the phone before looking up at us.

"Hey sorry to bother you guys, but my friends were wondering if you'd want to come over to their apartment and chill? We have nowhere else to go, so." She giggled.

Lauren and I looked at each other, waiting for one another's approval. We normally do this sort of thing, I look into Lauren's eyes begging for her to say something. I don't like talking or making plans, that's her job. Finally, Lauren decided to speak up.

"Yeah! Yeah, should we bring anything?"

"Should they bring anything?" Dinah asked the person in the phone. (whose name might be Mani)

"They said bring clothes. It's gonna be a sleepover!" She smiled.

"Okay, cool." I smiled before grabbing my phone and plugging it back in. Dinah walked out, leaving Lauren and me back together.

"Wait, all my real clothes are back at my place," I said. Ever since I've been at Lauren's I've been wearing her clothes. I haven't gone anywhere, so I just wore some of her big shirts that either her brother Chris or her dad gave to her.

"Okay, we'll just go there." Lauren shrugged as she flipped her hair over and tussled it.

"I'll just go now, be right back." I said before hopping off the bed and trudging down the steps. I waved to Dinah and shut the door behind me, seeing that the whole apartment complex was completely soaked.

"Lauren wasn't lying when she said there was a severe thunderstorm," I said to myself before walking up to my door and unlocking it.

Immediately after I opened the front door I was hit in the face as the door slammed shut. Groaning, I rubbed my face. "What the...?" I tried opening the door again--while adding some force--and quickly went inside, finding Harry and a brunette ferociously making out against the wall.
