Chapter One | Investagation

"Y/n Y/N wait wait up" a tall strong blonde haired man came running up to you at full speed not even out of breath catching up to you.
"Hey" he put his hand up as a signal for him waving at you.
"Hey Steve"
Yes Steve Rogers was your best friend he brought you into the S.H.E.I.L.D force as he thought you would be a help to the team and just like Natasha you are an agent. You and him are very close and you always have petty fights but they never ruin your friendship with him because you was too close for it to effect anything.
"Where you going" he questioned still standing there
"I'm off out" you replied you tried to walk away but he went in front of you and said
"What why-"
"Because I can Rogers" you interrupted him
"But y/n we all have dinner reservations we was all going out remember me you Stark Bucky Nat Wanda Vision even though he can't eat anything"
You Chuckle at his vision joke and you wanted to tell him where you was going to really did but you couldn't...
"I'll be back by then what time we meeting up and where"
"The Avengers Tower at 6pm dont be late y/n I know what your like"
"I won't be now stop worrying and please move out of my way"
He moves out of your way and you walk out of the tower down to your car. You walked away feeling guilty but you couldn't help it. You just couldn't tell him. As long as he thinks he knows everything about your life it's okay the less he knows what your doing the better.

Steve Pov:

I left y/n and she seemed like she was in a rush for some reason I don't question her though as she's a very private person. She's told me as much as she can and if she didn't want to tell me anything else it's fine. I walked into the living room and everyone was sat around the coffee table having a drink and a laugh I sat next to Natasha.
She whispered
"Where's y/n wasn't you supposed to be with her"
"Yeah well she needed to leave the tower for an hour or two"
"So she isn't coming to dinner" Tony said as he was ears dropping on the conversation I was having with Nat.
"No she is she's meeting us here at 6pm" I replied
"Okay just make sure she's here" Wanda said whilst walking into the room and going to sit on the arm of the sofa where Vision was sat.
"She will be I don't know why you all don't trust y/n she's help us so much and you all know it"
"True but we don't know much about her Steve" Nat said
"Exactly" Tony agreed with Nat and pointing at her to show he liked the way she thought.
It made me wonder about y/n why didn't I know much about her I mean we are close friends but I don't even know her middle name. Or even if she has a middle name. It confused me for a while and I just sat an pondered whilst the others was trying to lift Thor's hammer. Until they asked me to do it I refused at first but they insisted. I tried and I don't think it moved but Thors expression showed that it looked like it did or at least he thought it did. I don't know and didn't really care I'm just still so confused about y/n it's all I can think of now. Later the same night I check the time and it 5:30pm and y/n still isn't home yet I left it and decided to text her when it got to 6pm if she still isn't here.

Y/n's Pov:

It was coming close to 6pm and I was worried my meeting wouldn't finish in time for me to get back to dinner with my friends. And yes I was at a meeting but it wasn't no ordinary meeting. My boss started to walk up to me
"Agent y/l/n."
"Yes"
"How's mission 626 going"
"It's going perfect sir"
"Good you may go now"
"Thank you"
I let the building and all I could think of was 2 hours just for that one question wow. It was 6pm-

SHIT I'm going to be late for dinner.

You ran back to your Car and drove to the Avengers Tower as quick as you could the time you got there it was 6:15pm and you knew Steve wouldn't be happy with you especially with the fact you was late and you left the building without a reason or at least a reason you couldn't tell him...
