Chapter Eight |Together At Last

A couple days past and Steve got more and more suspicious about everything. Soon as I knew it the funeral for me came around. Fury put a camera on his suit so I can watch, see and hear what's going on there just like in the CTV room yet on the tv in my bedroom that he set up for me kinda like a safe house just in the SHEILD campus. When he drove up to the place he turned on the camera and said
"Okay agent yln I'm going in now just be prepared okay"
I couldn't reply as he couldn't hear me I could only hear and see what's hes doing yet he knows I was ready if I wasn't I wouldn't have asked to do this. He walked to this grassy area with already dug hole into the ground ready for the coffin which people think my body's in which isn't really as Fury's robot dissolves in about an hours time. Six chairs was at one side and six chairs at the other side and if people didn't get a chair they stood at the back of them but I don't think many people will come anyways.

Fury saw Steve and walked up to him. You could tell he wasn't prepared for today's events and you could clearly tell he had being crying all throughout this week until this very day. It hurt you knowing that he has done this all for you and you was still alive.

Nat came in and hugged Steve and sat next to him and Bucky next to Nat. On the row behind them was Tony, Pepper and Rhodes. The front row opposite them was Bruce, Thor, Clint. Sat on the chairs behind them was Fury then Wanda and vision sat next to each other. You was still sat in your room listening to everything the guy who was talking about you was saying. It kinda showed how much you effected so peoples lives and you didn't know it even Tony was sat with his fingers on the bridge of his nose with his head down trying to hold it together. Every so often pepper put her hand his shoulder to make sure he was okay. Bucky did the same to Nat, when I'm allowed to see them i really need to ask Nat if her and Buck have a thing between them.

They asked if Steve wanted to give a speech he just shook his head in denial it's not that he didn't want to he really did just the thing is it was too hard for him to even think about you let alone talk about you. You understood whilst still sat in your room and you couldn't watch any more; it was coming to the end so you decided to watch the rest anyways. Everyone got given a white rose. The white was for honesty and innocently. The rose cause Steve knew it was your favourite flower. Everyone was given one and one by one the threw it on your coffin as a sign of respect and left. Bucky and Nat went one way. Wanda and vision another. Tony and pepper went back to the tower. Rhodes and Clint went back to Clints safety house. That left Steve and Fury.

"She's gone" Steve said to break the silence
"Yeah, I-" he stopped because he had a text.
It was from you. Hearing Steve saying them words you had to text Fury.
Agent: Tell Him.
He took a heavy breathe.
"Agent y/n alive" he said under his breathe.
"What" Steve said in confusion
"Come back to base the sheild base we'll explain everything" fury walked away
"Who's we" Steve shouted following him.

Back on the ship you was told to stay in your room until told. They entered the living room and had a chat.
"So what do you mean by we" Steve asked.
"Well agent..." he paused "our agents are protecting people at all costs all the time including you and the avengers"
"What does this have to do with me" Steve questioned
"Well you may want to be involved in this protection protocol however you can't tell anyone you understand"
"Yes" he said

I get a text whilst pacing up and down my room.
Fury: come to the living room
Y/N: okay

You walked into the living room with no idea what's about to happen next not knowing he was sat on the very couch you just thought fury telling him at the funeral that was it he knew.
"You needed me" you say
"Yes yes I did" fury said
Steve stood up and your eyes opened wide  you didn't know what to say or do.
"H-hi" you say
Steve didn't say anything except he walked up and hugged you with saying anything.
"I missed you to" you said whilst some tears fell down your face.

He broke the hug and shook his head not believing this is happening. You cupped your hands in his face and wiped his tears with your thumbs. He placed his hand on top of yours and you just nodded.

"What are you doing here" he asked
"I knew I would die the day of the battle Nick came to the rescue and saved me but I had to hide from you" you say
He just hugs you again but this time for longer. He didn't want to let go of you just like you didn't want to leave him neither.

"You have to go" you say in his ear
"Why" he says breaking the hug again
"Your not meant to know I'm here-"
"But I do now Fury let me know y/n please..." he looked down at the floor.
You lifted his chin up and held his face in your hands.
"Lets make a compromise okay" you say knowing your not going to win the battle for him not seeing you any mores
"What's that" he says thinking it's a bad thing
You take a deep breathe "tell one more person then once a week-"
"Once a week"
"Let me finish, once a week you and the other person can come and see me we can talk catch up and in a few months Fury told me I can see everyone else"
"How many months" he asks
"It's April now so... around 4 months which is July" you reply
"Okay I think I can handle that" he says putting his hands on your shoulders letting your head rest on his hand.
"See it's not that far away we'll be okay"

To get your mind off the topic that you can only see Steve once a week (which is still a good thing because it's more that you usually see him this passed month) you decide to ask him who he will be bringing to see you, you hoped it would be Nat as she deserved to know you was alive especially with the fact how close you two where.

"So who you bringing" you say excitedly
"Probably Natasha"
"YES" you scream in excitement
"I'm glad you agree with my decision" he laughs
"I agree a lot like one hundred percent" you say
He laughs at you and smiles you smile back and he kisses your cheek gently.
"I better go" he says
"Yeah...okay" you say
"Till next week" he smiles at you and you smile back
