How A Summer Can Change Everything || Lando Norris

Chapter 3

'And here are u keys.' The woman behind the desk hands me the keys of our mobile home. 'Thank u.' I smile at her. 'Have a nice holiday.' I grab my suitcase, open the door and walk to Jasmine and Nienke. The sun sofetly burns my skin when I walk outside. It's 12 o'clock and its already 34°C outside.  'Im back, we have to walk for 2 minutes, I have a map. Our mobile home is A82.' They turn around to me and nod.
Jasmine sights after 30 seconds of walking in the sun. 'Its so hottt.' I chuckle. 'Says the one with French blood.' Jasmine pushes my shoulder. 'Shut up please.' Nienke and I start laughing.

'Bo look!' Nienke says. I turn around. Her finger points at a running track on the other side of the fence, its not on the campfield but it's nearby. Goosebumps start forming on my back. 'Thats pretty amazing, now I can train everyday.' I say. Jasmine sights. 'U always think about training.' I giggle. 'Yeah, ofcourse, I wanna be as good as my mom.' Nienke wraps her arm around me. 'You're gonna be even better.' She knows I had a hard time, when my mom died I didn't think about sporting or playing the piano. I just wanted to die to be honest. She helped me out, and showed me how much I loved those things.
I take a last quick look at the track and we continue our walk.

'Shotgun!' I fall down on a bed. 'Claim this one.' I claimed the biggest room of our mobile home. We booked a mobile home for 6 persons so everyone would have a room for ourself. Jasmine runs upto my room. 'Bo!!! U have the biggest room!' She shouts. I start laughing. 'I was quicker than u guys, as always.' I lift my chin. She chuckles. 'Not funny.'

'Whats for dinner?' Jasmine walks outside. I'm sitting underneath a tree, reading a book. The sun slowly tans my skin. 'What about pizza?' I look at her questioning. 'Sounds good, i'll tell Nienke.' She smiles at me and walks back inside.

'I'm gonna sleep girls, im pretty tired.' Its 12.30, we sat for a hours outside, talked about things and the girls had some drinks. I'm the only one of us who don't drink alcohol. 'Goodnight.' They say at the same time. I get up, out of my chair and walk inside. I lock the bathroom and search for my makeup whioes. I softly wipe away my makeup of my smooth skin, brush my teeth and put on some other clothes.
Before I get in bed I quickly check my phone. I accept a few follow requests and reply on a few messages. My dad asked me how the flight was and that I should have lots of fun this week. I love him. He has been there for me the last few weeks, I don't deserve him. Before my mom died I shout at him, because of stupid things, I don't even remember them. Its just of puberty, I know he loves me but I didn't see it, but know I'm a few years older and understand how important parents really are.
I put my phone on the charger and turn on my side. Plump my pillow and close my eyes.
'Bzzz Bzzz.' After a few minutes my phone buzzes. I turn on the little light on the night stand, roll back on my other side and grab my phone. It's and Instagram DM

Lando: hi!

I get butterflies is my stomach when I read the message. Am I in love, I've never felt this way? He looks really nice, and in the plain he was so sweet and caring. He also is so familiar to me, but I dont know where I've seen him before. Or maybe he just have one of those faces u think u recognise.
I reply to him

Me: hey! Airport boy right?

Lando: haha yeah that's me😄
Lando: still awake?

Hahah, he actually kinda woke me up, but its okay, I couldn't sleep, kept thinking about my mom, dad, school, sport, playing the piano. I don't know what I wanna do after this summer. A year ago I quit high school and took a year of. I worked a lot and spent a lot of time with friends and family.

Me: u actually woke me up hahaha

Lando: ohw, I'm sorry, goodnight
