preference #62 : you date but you shouldn't

ELIJAH : he's been told to be the biggest threat to mystic falls and your friends at the moment, which is why dating him is completely stupid but you do it anyway, because with you, he isn't as scary as he is described to be. 

KOL : your friends have warned you about kol, and told you how he will only break your heart. you soon realize that he is flirtatious and suggestive, but you fall in love with him. so you date, obviously, even though you shouldn't.

JEREMY : he's your best friend's brother, so dating him is absolutely irrational but the love you feel for each other beats common sense. elena accepts your relationship, but she thinks it's weird so you never talk about it with her.

KLAUS : you should not date, it's clear, and all of your friends list the reasons, like him being the bad guy, him being a bad person, and what not. still, you feel love for him and know that he feels the same way so you start dating. 

DAMON : you dated stefan, so dating damon is definitely inappropriate, since they are after all brothers. but you love him too much, so you end up in a relationship which everyone eventually accepts.

KAI : he's a psychopath. that is what everyone tells you when you admit that you have feelings for him, and you feel bad because it seems like you shouldn't love him. but you two start dating, and you realize he's actually really sweet and fun to be around.

STEFAN : you're a human, and he's a vampire which is why a relationship between you two is in everyone's opinion a silly thought. but you're ready to take the risk, and begin dating stefan because he makes you really happy.
