When Y/N opened her eyes, there wasn't much to see, only white. She couldn't feel much either. No pain and no feeling in her body. Was it because she may have been in a coma for some time? She didn't know. She slowly closed her eyes again, but only for a short moment and when she opened them again she felt something more. She moved her fingers a little bit, noticing her hand was surrounded by something warm. Something soft, something she had held many times before, yet now it was holding her.
"Y/N?" She heard her name been spoken so softly. It gave her a good feeling down in her stomach. She glanced at her right, towards the direction the voice came from as she found the owner. Dark brown eyes met her gaze and Y/N stared into them. Much time didn't she have to do so, since the person started hugging her. "Y/N I'm so glad you're awake. I was worried, terrified you wouldn't make it."
Y/N closed her eyes, enjoying the warmth around her. His strong arms made her feel safe. She slowly put her arms around him as she slowly remembered what happened and realized in what state she's in. The hug lasted for a certain period of time and when they separated they looked at each other. She could drown in his eyes but decided not to since she did not want to die and leave his side.
However, something was worrying her and it's a pretty big matter, so she decided to tell him what's on her stomach. "Yoongi." She said, still looking him in the eye. He looked back at her, not knowing what she was about to say. Not knowing it would change everything.
"What is it, sweetheart?" Yoongi asked. Knowing she loves old-fashioned nicknames he decided to use them for once. Mostly he calls her baby but now he didn't. He may do this more. Y/N's heart fluttered and she smiled weakly. However, this wasn't the time to do all lovey-dovey. She had to tell him what she feels, or rather what she does not feel. She knew it wasn't normal and that's why it worries her. Maybe he knows what's going on."I can't feel them, my legs."
Yoongi didn't know what he heard. A long moment of silence came between the two. He stared at her, not knowing what to do. He didn't expect this. He grabbed her hand, trying to stay calm due to the circumstances when this news came at him like lightning itself. He knew this would change much. "I'll call a doctor." He said, his voice slightly shaking but tried to hide it.
When Yoongi left to search for a doctor, Y/N was all alone. She slowly looked around, noticing it was just an ordinary hospital room. She looked at her hand. Some minutes ago, it was surrounded by Yoongi's and Y/N could still feel his touch. She tried to sit up, which wasn't easy since she couldn't move that much, but eventually, she put her pillow behind her back.
As she sat up, she noticed she could really feel nothing in her legs. She tried touching them with her hands, but she only felt it on her hands, not on her legs. She started panicking and rubbed on her knees, desperately trying to feel it. When she didn't, she concentrated on moving them. Even if she couldn't move her leg itself, she must be able to move her toe. Even if it's just a minor move, she wants to have feeling in her legs.
Unfortunately, it didn't work. No matter how hard she tried, how hard she even focused, it didn't matter because the sensitivity in her legs is already gone. Permanently? Maybe it isn't, maybe it is.
At the point she tried that hard she was getting angry but in a way it was mixed with sadness and fear, she was ready to throw something, to cry, to scream in her pillow. She wanted to do everything all at once yet she remained like she was: afraid on the inside, but not showing it outside.
Yoongi came back and the moment she saw him, she couldn't help but try to reach out to him. She wants him close to her, she wants his hand in hers. With him, she felt safe. In his embrace, she felt as if everything was okay. As if everything would be okay.
