Undecover - saiino shikatema naruhina

1 - undercover mission

"You will travel to takigakure to rescue naruto and a few other jinchurikis who have been kidnapped by the villages local gang"
kakashi explained to shikamaru ino and hinata as hinata gasped, just now finding out that her beloved naruto is in danger.

kakashi, the hokage, then looked impatiently at the door behind the shinobi.
"Are you waiting for someone" shikamaru asked turning his head to the door as danzo, the leader of the anbu root, entered the office without even knocking. A pale, lifeless looking guy was standing next to him.

"I was" kakashi responded  as danzo and the guy stopped next to ino.
"This is Sai, he's a part of the anbu ne and he will be working by your side for this mission" danzo said as the three young adults looked at Sai who kept his eyes on the hokage. He had no expression on his face at all, just like a puppet.

"That's right guys, he's an excellent shinobi and really professional" kakashi added as shikamaru nodded.
"Alright, when will we leave" the Nara asked with a yawn following his question. "Once temari arrives in konoha" kakashi leaned back in his chair as shikamaru gulped. He tried to act unfazed but on the inside he was freaking out.

Him and temari broke up four months ago and they haven't seen each other since.
"Temari?" Ino asked surprised while side eyeing shikamaru.
She was one of the few people who knew that they broke up. Actually she was one of the few who even knew that they were together in the first place.

"You Heard me, gaara has been kidnapped as well, so we decided to let her join the mission" he explained as shikamaru sighed deeply.

About an hour passed as someone knocked on the door. "Come in" kakashi said as the door opened slowly revealing the blond kunoichi from suna.
"Hello lord sixth" temari closed the door and walked up next to hinata as danzo looked at kakashi who nodded, implying that danzo may start talking.

"Now that everyone is here I will explain further relevant information about the mission" he started walking around the office looking at one shinobi at a time.

"This is an undercover mission since there's no chance of rescuing anyone if any of the gang members know who you actually are.. all of you will stay at the hotel owned by the leader of the gang, except for you" he stopped in front of shikamaru.

"You will stay at an apartment near the hotel, in a neighborhood where all the prostitutes working for the gang get their drugs" he told him as temari shot her eyes wide open once she heard the word 'prostitutes'.
"You will pretend to be a drug dealer" danzo continued as shikamaru nodded.

"Back to you guys" danzo started walking around again.
"hinata will pretend to be owner of a famous hotel , temari you will be the new singer of the hotel band-"
"but I can't sing" temari interrupted him frustrated as danzo glared at her.
"I don't care.. anyways, Sai will work as a tattoo artist and ino you will be an exotic dancer" everyone, except for sai, shot their head at ino who looked at danzo in disbelief.

"are you serious" danzo sighed lightly "I know this is really uncomfortable for you but I have a little solution for your problem" he said as ino crossed her arms."you and Sai will pretend to be an engaged couple, so whenever you feel like you have to do something you don't want to, you can call him" ino clicked her tongue
"How is that going to help" danzo rolled his eyes.

He lost his patience at this point. the shinobi of the root never asked any questions, they just did as told.

"Instead of you having to dance for strangers you'll dance for me, or pretend to, since I'm going to insist on that in front of your customers" Sai spoke up for the first time as Ino side eyed him. He wasn't even looking at her. His voice was completely monoton.

"Uh I don't understand.." ino was pretty frustrated which annoyed danzo even more. "Just follow sais orders, I already explained everything to him" he semi yelled as ino furrowed her eyebrows.

"Alright no need to get loud, Gosh" she responded with an attitude as Sai turned his head to her which caught her attention. She turned to him as well smiling politely, since she figured that they had to get along in order for the mission to succeed, but he just looked at her with a straight face.

Even though ino thought that he was quite attractive, she still found his behavior really strange. Shaking her head she turned back to the hokage.

"Any questions" the shinobi shook their heads as kakashi dismissed them. 

Ino waited until everyone left and asked kakashi if she had to sexually interact with Sai. "Of course you don't, that is not the job of a shinobi" he responded as ino nodded relieved "alright then" she waved at him and left the office as well.

Shikamaru
Shikamaru walked out of the hokage building as he bumped into someone. "Watch where you're going" temari hissed at him as he rolled his eyes "watch your tone first" he walked past her as she bumped her shoulder against his purposely.

"Troublesome" shikamaru shook his head as a sad feeling of nostalgia overcame temari since he always used to call her that. Taking a deep breath she shook the feeling off and walked away.

Ino
"So do you know something about sai" ino asked hinata as they walked home "naruto has been on a few mission with him, he told me that he has no emotions at all and that he can't really interact with people" ino sighed.

how was she she supposed to act as if she's in a romantic relationship with someone who doesn't even have feelings?

"Why tho" hinata turned her head to her
"don't you know that every anbu ne member has to turn off all types of emotions entirely forever? That's danzos philosophy of a shinobi, in his eyes the life of a shinobi should revolve around the mission and nothing else"

ino looked shocked at her friend. She knew that they had to be emotionless but she didn't know that it would be this extrem.

So this is the first chapter, obviously
