2 - Inos partner

Next day :

The shinobi team finally arrived at the village after a 4 hour ride in shikamarus car. The ride was pretty silent since there was a weird tension between most of the teammates.

"I'll meet y'all at this parking lot tomorrow at 10am. Get yourself situated in your sweets until then" shikamaru, who was the leader of this team, told the four shinobis as they stepped out of his matte black car.

"Even though we're heading to the same hotel, we still have to go separate ways from now on since we don't want draw any attention towards us" temari spoke up as hinata nodded nervously.

"Except for you love birds" temari joked at ino and Sai as ino chucked slightly.
"Let's go" she told Sai who looked down at her nodding.

"We have to hold hands now" Sai mumbled to make sure that ino was the only one who heard him once they arrived in front of the hotel. Ino slowly grabbed his hand as Sai squeezed hers unknowingly.

"Ouch" ino mumbled as they walked through the door. "Focus" Sai side eyed her as she cleared her throat.

Once they got the keys for their sweet, Sai walked towards the elevator dragging ino along him who was confused because they were handed one key only. "What about my sweet" she asked as the elevator door closed after they stepped inside.

"We will share the room, did you forget that we're engaged" Sai explained bluntly as ino looked up at him. "Oh.. Right" she said nervously.

Sai opened the doors their sweet as they were greeted by a king sized bed in the center of the sweet. Ino felt a blush creep on her cheeks once she realized that she had to share a bed with this mysterious anbu ne member.

The sweet was really luxurious and comfortable overall. There was a marble kitchen and a cozy living space. The bathroom was made out of marble as well and the view to the famous taki waterfalls from every window in their sweet was breath taking.
"This is nice actually" ino giggled sitting on the huge bed as Sai started unpacking their bags.

"Sai" ino said once Sai finished unpacking their stuff. He walked up to her shaking his head "yes" ino cleared her throat.

"I thought we should get to know each other a little better since we will have to act like an actual couple" she quickly spat out as Sai just looked straight at her.
"What do you want to know" he sat down beside her as she sighed, relieved at the fact that he was down to have a normal-ish conversation with Her.

"What do you like" she asked hoping that this question was simple enough for him. His face held no expression as always as he shrugged "nothing, I neither dislike anything" he simply responded as Ino nodded slowly.

She waited for him to ask her a question next but that didn't happen so she just asked another one instead.

"Well is there anything that makes you happy" she asked enthusiastically as he shook his head. "There is no such thing as happiness inside of me, or any other emotion at all" he looked her dead in the eyes as she sighed.

"that's sad don't you think ?"
"not to me, once again; I am not capable of feeling any emotions" Inos faces saddened as she tilted her head "but why" she genuinely wanted to know.
"Master danzo trains every ne member to suppress their emotions entirely, in order make sure that we dedicate our life's to our missions only." He explained as inos mouth dropped a little.

"But that's inhuman, there's so much more to live for than just these missions" she said with a hurt face expression which Sai didn't understand of course.

"not in my case, my life has no meaning outside of my missions, I also have no private life. I have no past and no future, just the current mission" he seemed to know these sentences by heart, as if danzo burned them into his brain.

"But what about people that are important to you" ino tried to find something normal about him "I had to kill any sense of sentiment or emotional attachment a long time ago" he said coldly as ino felt herself getting goosebumps. She couldn't believe how ruthless danzo was, he literally brainwashed these poor shinobi.

"there is no need to worry, I can still act as if I'm romantically interested in you" he assured her as she realized that he thought that she was only concerned about the mission and not him as a person. "Alright.." she mumbled as Sai got up again.

"We have to introduce you to the manager since you'll start dancing tomorrow"
Ino felt an uneasy tension build up in her stomach as she slowly got up as well.
She really didn't understand why danzo made her work as an exotic dancer out of all the jobs he could've picked for her.

The two ninjas headed to the lobby as Sai asked a worker where the manager of the hotel was."He wants to meet you two in his office, it's the third room in the top floor" Sai nodded grabbing Inos hand as they walked back to the elevator and headed to the top floor.

"Are you ready" Sai asked ino once they stopped in front of a door with the sign
'manager office' on it.
"I guess" ino took a deep breath as Sai knocked on the door.

"Come in" a raspy voice said from behind the door as Sai and ino entered the office.
They were faced by an elderly, broad shouldered, man sitting on a chair.

"Hello sir, I'm Sai and this is my lovely fiancé Ino"  Sai introduced himself and his partner, flashing the manager an obviously fake smile as the man In front of them grinned at Inos sight.

"Nice to meet you pretty lady, my name is ryuu" the manager got up and kissed Inos hand, making her laugh nervously.

Ino looked at Sai who then looked down at her, reading the signal in her eyes as he nodded.
Lord danzo had told him to make sure that he would step in whenever ino felt too uncomfortable or harassed, since her task was pretty discomforting.

Sai then cleared his throat causing the manager to look up at his tall figure.
"my fiancé truly is a pretty lady" he said grabbing Inos hand as the manager got the hint.

"I assume that you will be our new exotic dancer, am I right" the man said as ino and Sai nodded.  "Great, I can't wait to see what moves your fiancé got" he smirked eas ino tightly held onto sais hand.

"You can find out tomorrow, she'd love to show you her skills" Sai played along as ino shot her head at him. She couldn't believe he actually said that.
"That Sounds amazing don't you think"  ryuu winked at ino who nodded, letting go of Sai hand.

"I will meet you at the hotel club tomorrow at 9pm, find a hot stage name until then" he said while walking Sai and ino to the door "I will, see you tomorrow" ino waved at him as they left his office.

"Are you serious ?!" ino shouted at Sai once they entered the elevator.
