One by one we all took turns filing into the kitchen to get our dinner, since it was rather small. Enough food was made to allow each of us at least 2 pieces of fried chicken and a portion of French fries. I had to go into the kitchen first just to set out plates, cups, and silverware since my guests didn't know where I keep them. I poured everyone's drinks as they entered into the kitchen. I was greeted with slight bows and many thank yous as I handed the members the drink of their choice. Felix and Hyunjin were the last to grab their plates since they even went as far as to make everyone's plates for them. "You guys made fried potatoes too?" Changbin asked excitedly. "You know that's my favorite!" He smiled as Felix gawked at him placing an extra large serving of french fries on his plate. We took our plates back to the living room and gathered around on the floor surrounding the coffee table or on the couch with plates in our laps since I didn't have a dining table. "Sorry that we have to eat around the coffee table. The one downfall of this small house is no dining room." I explained setting my plate down on the large birchwood trunk-style table. "That's alright! We normally sit around on the floor eating anyways, at least at home." Seungmin explained while I nodded my head at him in response. "Oh my god, guys!" I exclaimed after swallowing a bite of my food and wiping my mouth with a napkin. "This is literally the best fried chicken I have ever eaten!" I said before taking another eager bite. "Thank you!" Felix and Hyunjin said in unison, looking at eachother smiling and then back at me. "The secret is ginger and very finely chopped chives put into the batter. I also like to use a mix of panko and flour for the breading to make it extra crispy" Felix said proudly before taking another audibly crispy bite. Hyunjin scoffed playfully, "Felix handles the seasonings, while I do all of the manual labor. He's too busy dancing and hopping around." Hyunjin glanced at Felix and quietly laughed. "Hey! That's only partly true." Felix said while pouting at Hyunjin. "I know buddy I'm just joking, sorta." Hyunjin said lowering the volume at the end of his statement. Felix stared at him before sitting up straight and smiling. "I'm just glad your pantry was so well stocked. You have so much food." Felix said impressed in his Aussie accent. "I normally don't have this much but I had to stock up knowing this snowstorm was on the way. The weather can get really bad around this time of year." I explained before popping a French fry into my mouth. "The food really is delicious. We will eat well." Chan said. "Yeah, thank you guys. I think all of us were on the verge of starving." Changbin replied. "That's just because you're always hungry, Changbin." Felix said mockingly as everyone laughed in response. We all sat around talking, laughing, and eating. Then of course came the argument over who should get the extra four pieces of chicken. One went to I.N, one to Seungmin, one to Felix, and the other to Changbin since he agreed to actually do the dishes. I told him I would do them but he refused. Apparently, he washes dishes all the time. In normal situations the extra food would be offered to the Hyungs but Chan always made the youngest eat more since they're 'still growing.' Han just turned his piece down since he was still full from the entire bag of potato chips he ate on the way to my house.
When we all finished eating, Felix came up to each of us and took our empty plates to the kitchen, putting the scraps into the trash can and placing the dishes into the sink. "You don't have to do that, Felix. You cooked the food. I'll clean up." I responded lifting my plate from the table. "No, no, no. I got it, Bee. Just kick back for the night. You can start helping out when you feel better. For now leave it to us. Besides we are the guests in your home, so we cater to you." He said as he took my plate from my hands. These guys are so respectful and kind, I could get used to this. Felix walked back into the living room and found his seat as I.N stood up and collected everyone's glasses who were done drinking from them and helped clean up as well. Once all the dishes were put in the sink and leftovers were discarded into the bin, everyone arranged themselves around the living room comfortably. There wasn't one jacket still on nor one pair of shoes, signifying they were staying for the night. We sat around watching funny YouTube videos since no one could decide upon what to watch. Hyunjin wanted to watch Stranger Things, Felix wanted to play video games, and Han simply put just said cheetahs or dinosaurs. Seungmin and I.N were cuddled up under a throw blanket, giggling while scrolling on their phones. Chan and Changbin were quietly talking amongst themselves while Chan scribbled away in his notebook and Minho was laying next to Han on the floor still petting Bex. I questioned how they all lived together since their interests were so different. We all stayed awake for another hour or so after we had finished eating, just talking and getting to know eachother. It was so peculiar how comfortable I felt around these guys that I had just met hours ago. They should've felt like strangers but to be honest, It felt like I had known them for years. I'm not sure if it was because of their personalities, their energy, or because of their harmony amongst eachother that infected me, almost as if they were contagious. However, we bonded rather quickly and surprisingly had so much in common for people who live in completely different worlds. I could see myself being really great friends with them if the opportunity was actually obtainable.
