~Song for this chapter: Love at First Sight - The Brobecks~

Léa's pov
Blaney, Sarah and I were getting ready to go to the hotel. I'd moved in just a few days ago, and so far, it had been pretty fun. Both girls were very welcoming, which made me feel at home, even though in reality I was thousands of miles away from home. I was excited when they invited me to go see a small show with them; I want to get out there and explore Sydney.
When we got there, there was already another girl waiting for it to start. In the meantime, I decided to talk to her while Sarah and Blaney were at the hotel lobby getting some snacks. After all, making some new friends here couldn't hurt.
"Hi," I walked up to her,
"Hey," she turned to me and smiled, "Are you new around here? I don't think I've seen you around before."
"Well actually I just got here! I'm an exchange student."
"Oh that's so cool, where are you from?"
"Canada, well, Quebec." I laughed.
"Oh wow, what brings you here?"
"Nothing special really, just wanted to get out of Canada, and see somewhere new... I'm Léa by the way."
"I'm Hailey."
We kept talking for a while, about the city, and our lives; what they were and what we wanted them to be.
I saw four guys get up on the small stage in front of us, right as Blaney, Sarah, and a few other people walked up to us.
The boys introduced themselves as "5 Seconds of Summer" or "5SOS" for short. I hadn't heard of them before that night, but I liked the songs they played. I really appreciated how much effort they put into it, even though we were just a few people in the crowd. Not that it was overdone or anything, they were still joking around a bit through the nervousness I imagine comes with performing your first gig, but you could tell they were passionate about what they were doing. I love those types of people.
"I'm so hungry, we should probably go get some pizza." Sarah proposed.
"You can never go wrong with pizza!" I heard Blaney reply as she slung an arm over Sarah's shoulder.
"Hey, Hailey," she added, "You should come with us."
The four of us were about to leave the hotel when we heard a voice behind us call, "You got space for four more?"
It felt a bit strange that the guys who'd just performed for us wanted to hang out, but I mean, there's always space for meeting new people.
We walked to the pizza place across the street, and were lucky enough to find an empty table with enough space for all eight of us. After eating, we talked about their band, how it started, and their plans for the future. I was mesmerized by the way they spoke on this; I'd never seen someone be so hopeful before... Most importantly, I finally got to know their names: Luke, Michael, Calum, and Ashton.
Ashton was honestly one of the sweetest guys I'd ever met. It was like he was actually paying attention to what I told him, and seemed interested enough to keep the conversation going. I know that's something everyone should do, but the key word is "should". Even if he hadn't done any of that, I probably wouldn't have noticed because I was too busy admiring him. It sounds strange, but, his smile, his laugh, it was all so perfect. In all honesty, I think I could get used to Australian boys.
When we were walking out of the restaurant, I heard something fall on the floor. I picked it up, "Is this yours?" I asked Ashton.
"Oh, yeah, thanks, it must've fallen from my bag."
I handed it to him, "Here."
He smiled, "Keep it."
We all said our goodbyes, and got into our corresponding cars. I read something in a book once, I can't remember it exactly, but I think it went "...no one ever says goodbye unless they want to see you again..." and I hope that's true. At least from my part it was.
Blaney's pov:
On the way home Sarah kept teasing me about Luke, saying that we were "so in love"
I rolled my eyes, "I literally just met the guy."
"Well then," she began, a smile plastered on her face, "I guess it must be love at first sight."
Sure, Sarah, sure...
Just because I went to sleep thinking about him doesn't mean I'm in love, right?
Besides, there's no such thing like love at first sight. It's just a way for the media to make us romanticize our boring lives.

Sarah's pov
To be completely honest, I had more fun last night than I thought I would. Especially meeting Hailey, and talking to the guys after the show. They all seemed like great people to be around; the type of people that would make you feel safe without even having to try. I liked the fact that it was a pretty small crowd, around 12 people including us, I would say. It made the entire experience seem more like a hangout with friends.
I thought back to last night after the show.
"That keychain you have is so cool," he said, pointing at the heart-shaped keychain with a picture of a dog dangling from my purse, "You know, I've always wanted a dog like that." he smiled.
I looked at him and smiled back.
"I'm Michael, by the way."
"I'm Sarah."
There was just something about him... Maybe it was the way his face lit up when talking about puppies, or maybe it was how genuine his smile seemed. Whatever it was, just thinking of him made me happy. It felt strange to know that someone could have such an effect on me, but I liked it.
Hailey's pov
The morning light peered through the window and shone on my face, waking me up. I rubbed my eyes and looked around. Why are the sheets blue..? Oh shit. Memories from last night flashed through my head; then it hit me: This isn't my room.
