How did this happen? I went from high school, only worrying about getting girls and hanging out with friends. Now I worry about keeping Del safe, running away from scientists, and always on alert. It changed in a seconds.

Although there was a good thing that happened. I've always been bi, never knowing which one I liked more.

That was until I met John. He was the person who was supposed to calm me. He gave me happiness in this hell. He made my anger issues controllable. He made my life life better.

The only bad thing is I like him and he doesn't like me. I'm pretty sure he's straight. We both see each other as best friends. For fuck sakes we have matching tattoos.

It pains me inside knowing I like my best friend and he doesn't like me back. I can't tell him either. If I tell him he'll leave. Just like the rest of them. They all leave. I've watched the people I care about walk out of my life like a stranger. And I can't do anything about it.

I stood up and stretched my wings out all the way. The wind blew in between my feathers and it felt so good. I flapped them a few time. I too a running start and jumped in the air. I flapped my wings hard and went up fast.

I slowed down and looked at the ground. The world looked so small. I flew up more then stopped flapping my wings. I leaned backward and did a flip. I smiled. I felt so free. I layed down vertically and put my arms behind my head while falling. I turned back around and spread my wings out. The wind caught them and I shot up.

I blew high up in the sky again and flew a few miles. We should get phones. I flew into town and found a local Best Buy. I dived straight down and hid my wings as I landed. I stuffed my hands into my pockets and walked in.

"We were just about to close." An employee said. I bit my lip. I didn't have money either.

"Please mam. I really need two phones, newest version." I begged. The girl thought for a second and went to grad two IPhone 12. She went to the counter and added up the prices. It was expensive.

"I also don't have any money. Do you think I can get away with it once? I'll do anything for you, m'lady." I smirked and ran my hand along her cheek. She blushed and giggled.

"How about you come to my place after my shift." She suggested. I didn't have time for that.

"How about it a kiss and selfish. To get revenge on any ex?" I suggested. She thought about it. It was the best thing I could think of.

"Deal but make it convincing." She ordered. I nodded and came around the counter. She held her phone out and turned to look at me. I smirked and kissed her on the lips. After a second u pulled away and grabbed her chin.

"A deals a deal baby." I flirted. Her face turned red and she put the phones in a plastic bag.

"Enjoy your night!" She smiled. I took it from her and winked. I exited the store and turned the corner.

That was gross. I wiped my mouth and gagged. At least I'm good at acting. I unfolded my wings and pushed off the ground. Good thing I had my shirt in my hand so that I could hide my wings.

I flew back to the base and landed on the roof. That took awhile. I rolled the window open and climbed in. I closed it and looked over at the sleeping Delirious. He was sound asleep. I smiled and sat back down. It was 1 am right now. I have some time. I took out my phone and set it up.

"Hey Del, wake up." I heard a soothing voice. Soft hand grabbed my shoulder and shook me. I shot up and held out my hand and water formed around it. Vanoss put his hands up and smiled. I yawned and punched his in the arm.

"You scared me." I crouched. My voice was always raspy when I woke up. Vanoss chuckled and tapped his wrist. My sleep was up.

"Its 3 am. Wake me up at 8am and we'll get up then." He yawned and flopped down on his stomach next to me. His wings pushed me into him and I fell on top. He laughed. I laughed too and felt his feathers.

"Their so soft!" I exclaimed and brushed them. He cooed and and stretched them out. I sat up and his wings layed along my lap. I smoothed them out and listened to his breathing.

I wish I was his. He's straight, I'm surprised he doesn't have a girlfriend. That dummy flirts and I flirt back but it will never happen. Something always happens. Whether its getting cheater on or forced to brea up. I can't name a time where I've kept a relationship for more than two years.

I closed my eyes and concentrated. I felt a tingle in my lower back and head. I opened my eyes and felt the top of my head. Soft fur met my fingers and I smiled. Although I hate having powers and being a hybrid. There are some benefits to it.
