The Next Morning

"Thank you," you smile to the palace's medic as she places the final bandages on your torso. She bows and smiles back before leaving, your room now only occupied by Rosé and yourself.

"Almost ready?" You ask, approaching where she stands in front of the vanity. Your staff packed bags for the two of you last night and brought them to you, checking the action off your to-do list. Now you can head back to Amelia's house whenever you're ready.

"Mhm," she grins, applying a light amount of blush on her cheeks before spinning around and wrapping her arms around your neck.

"Thank you for everything, my love." She utters, nuzzling her face into your neck.

"You deserve it all, Rosie. Thank you for choosing to stay with me." You laugh, happy to have her with you. She pulls back enough to gaze into your eyes, a slightly confused look in them.

"Did you ever doubt that I would?"

When you go to shrug, she knows what she has to do.

"Y/N you showed me what life is all about. I've experienced more with you in these past few months than I did in all my life back home, and I fell in love with you in the meantime. How could I ever leave that behind?"

You smile, though there's a hint of sadness in it, "I've never loved someone like I've loved you," you confess, remembering your relationship with your ex. It was different with even her, though she'll always have a piece of your heart.

"But I can't imagine how scary it would be to leave your entire life behind. Your friends and family back home who aren't like your father? I know it'll be hard to just walk away from them."

"I'll hear from them if they care enough to check on me. But I know I'm safe with you, and that'll never change. You're my world, so get used to having me around."

You roll your eyes and smile when she nudges you, and you ask, "Promise?"

"Forever and always."

You lean in and kiss her, feeling all the butterflies you did the first time her lips were on yours. It's a beautiful feeling, being so connected to the love of your life, and you wish everyone could experience it.

"Come on," she mumbles against your lips, smiling at the taste of the cinnamon toothpaste you used this morning -- she told you it's her favorite flavor on you, and you've used it ever since.

"Let's get back before Amelia tears up the town looking for us."

Amelia's House, Seok Kingdom

"I FUCKING TOLD YOU SO!" She screams, a worried (yet relieved) expression on her face.

"That's a pretty weird way to say 'Hey, happy you're alive'." You tease, stepping through the door that she just threw open. Rosé snickers behind you, eliciting another quick remark from the brunette.

"Don't help her, Rosé! You should be on my side."

"I can't help it, she's funny!" She defends herself, pointing at you.

You shrug and grin, saying, "It's true."

After putting your bags down and filling Amelia in on what all went down, she pulls you in for a long hug. Despite joking around earlier, she was genuinely worried about you. You mean the absolute world to her, and she knows she'd never be the same if something happened to you.

"I'm glad you're feeling better," you say into the crook of her neck. She pulls back to look at you with a grateful gleam in her eye.

"Thank you for getting the meds. They ended up having a shortage the other day, so you got it right in time."

You cough, doing a terrible job of masking your comeback.

"What was that?" She playfully challenges, standing up to tower over you as she orders you to repeat yourself.

"I said, I told you so." You stand as well, only to have her begin throwing fake punches at you.

"Bop bop bop," she punctuates every make-believe hit with the sound, laughing when you go along with it and pretend to get beat up. You throw some fake ones of your own, and she lets out exclamations with every imaginary blow.

"Hey, hey! Break it up!" Rosé eventually intervenes, assuming the job of a referee.

You narrow your eyes at your best friend and taunt her, lunging to spur her on. Rosé catches her and throws her back onto the bed before she can retaliate, making all of you laugh.

"Not fair, it's 2 vs 1!"

"Stop complaining, Choi."

2 Months Later

"Babe, there it is!" Rosé shouts giddily, clapping a few times out of excitement.

You squint in the bright sunlight, looking through the tree line to locate what she's talking about. When your eyes land on the quaint, cozy cottage that you had built, your smile widens adorably.

It seems a bit large for just the three of you, but Rosé said it would be good to have extra room for Hank to run around and play in. It's only about 10 or 15 minutes away from Amelia's place, and just a short walk away from the infamous pond you love so much.

It's perfect, and you can't wait to make it a home with Rosie.

Living with Amelia was incredible and there was never a dull moment, but you're ready to have a place to call your own with her. Somewhere only you know.

"Last one inside has to cook dinner tonight!" You shout, already getting a head start as you dart past her and bound across the yard.

Hank dashes right alongside you, merely a blur of fur from the speed at which he's travelling. The bowtie Rosie made for him grows more crooked with every hit of his paw against the dirt, but it only makes him more adorable.

"Hey, not fair!" She calls back, racing to catch up with a smile on her face.
