A strong wind burst through the dead, sandy valley. A cat sits outside, staring down at the valley thinking about her dream, and what it meant. She had never had a dream so strong yet so vivid. Her clan looked so hopeless, so lost.

Worry filled her stomach, twisting and turning inside her. Her claws dug into the sandy stone till a soft manly voice spoke up behind her.

"Koiwish? What are you doing out here in the middle of the night?" A light cream tom with long fur comes over, his glossy blue eyes staring down at the small cat. Her ears fold down and she looks up at him.

"Father, I think...I think I got a message from the stars themselves." His eyes went wide, staring down at his daughter. Her curly fluffy fur blowing in the wind as she stares back at him worriedly.

"What..."

The sun shines bright even though it was so early in the morning. A small group of cats are gathered by a large burnt tree chatting about last night, and the mysterious dreams five cats were given. Koiwish and her father, along with a few other cats, venture over to the tree, where three other cats are sitting on the branches of the burnt dead tree.

"Ah, Goldenstar, you've arrived," an old brown tabby cat says staring down at the small group approaching the tree.

"Is everyone here for the same reason I am?" Goldenstar asks, looking around at the cats grouped there.

The brown tabby nods. "Yes, it seems that five cats from our community were given a sight into the future, it must be Starclan trying to send us a message!" He yells, sounding hopeful. A few cats answer back in cheers and hopeful remarks.

Koiwish looks around, spotting a small group of four sitting by the tree. She trots over as a smile fills her face seeing Melonpoppy. She was Creekclan's medicine cat who had just finished her apprenticeship. She looked around at all the other cats near her and saw basically all the cat's who had just finished their apprenticeship.

Next to Melonpoppy was Sorrowfang. He's rude and easily angered, but a loyal warrior and a damn good fighter too. Koiwish looks around once more and sees Gia and her brother Shadow...Ah, wait, did he ever get his warrior ceremony? Her thoughts were cut short by Melonpoppy's soft and sweet voice.

"Koiwish, hey!" Melonpoppy had gotten up and had started to make her way over to the cream and orange spotted she-cat. Koiwish's ears perk up. She could feel her excitement lumping up in her throat. She felt her tail swaying side to side as her friend approached.

"Did you get it too? The dream?" Koiwish smiles, sitting down once her friend was in front of her.

"I did!" She smiles at her friend.

"Hehe that's great! That means we all get to go on an adventure together now!" Koiwish smiles, her excitement building up more. She was a little nervous at first, but knowing Melonpoppy and a few others and relatively knowing where they were going, it put her mind at ease.

The two walk over to the rest of the group where Sorrowfang was huffing about being in the sun so long, while Gia and Shadowpaw were sitting quietly, Shadowpaw hiding behind his sister slightly.

"Isnt Gia and her brother the same age?" Koiwish questions while walking over to them.

"Yes, but Fernstar hasn't done his ceremony. I don't know why, maybe she doesn't want a big fight that happened last time with Gia's name change?"

Koiwish thought about it and nodded, agreeing. When Gia got her name from Fernstar it was Swiftspark, but a few days later it caused an outrage and she changed it herself. There was alot of arguing, and after that her trainer as an apprentice disappeared, she thought his name was Tornpelt? She couldn't quite remember him.

As the two reached the group they sat down, forming a little circle.

Mudstar started to speak, "As you all know we called this meeting because five cats from our clans have received a sight into our future from Starclan! Which means they aren't all lost!" he spoke with enthusiasm and excitement. Koiwish didn't think she ever saw him look like that, at least not in a long time.

"And with this we have hope for our future!! our kits!"

A cat somewhere in the crowd stood up. Silentscream, a tall thin cat with pure white fur, with grey markings on his chest and neck that looked like whirlpools. "If Starclan is out there, then how come they haven't sent anything till now, a whole year later!"

Some cats were shocked. Silentscream normally never spoke, but when he did, it always made sense. Guess that was one of those times.

Mudstar spoke back sounding confident in his answer. "Well obviously they had trouble contacting us! I mean, we could hardly contact any other clans just after the blast! It could be the same for them."

Shatterstrike, Mudstar's deputy, spoke up. "Correct, we all know Starclan can have difficulty reaching our plane, but they're possibly in trouble as Mudstar will explain in a minute, so please keep your questions to yourself till then." They sit back down. Cats whisper amongst themselves, but quiet down to let Mudstar continue to speak.

"Thank you Shatterstrike," He smiles softly down at his Deputy who nods and continues to sit proudly. "Starclan is probably trapped somewhere! If the dream was as vivid as the five say, that means they must be far away, trapped. To know for sure we will send the five to Elkwatcher's den ten moons from here! She knew about the explosions, she might know something about this!" Cats talk loudly, some panicked, others excited.

Pebbleclaw, a short grey tom, yells out to Mudstar. "What if Elkwatcher doesn't know what's happening? Then what?"

Mudstar thinks for a second, then smiles, "Then the five will continue on with their search for someone else who might know something! Either way we must keep hope for these five! They are our only hope of finding Starclan and saving them!"

Goldenstar stands up proudly and smiles. "I agree with Mudstar! we must cheer on our saviors for they have been sent something amazing by Starclan!!" Other cats start cheering, but then Koiwish realises something.

Fernstar and Hazelstar haven't said anything all gathering. For Hazelstar it was quite normal for him not to speak, but Fernstar? No way. She had an opinion on everything, no matter how small it was. She always spoke up, even if it was a loud sigh.

She glanced at Fernstar and her face looked completely serious, maybe she really dose care about this.

Goldenstar speaks up again, "This gathering is now over! We must prepare our warriors for the long journey ahead of them! So please, families say what you need to, if one of them is your kin, and wish them well."

As quick as that was said, cats rushed back home to say goodbye to the five who had been chosen by Starclan, others started preparing things for Melonpoppy, since she was a medicine cat. They were discussing how she'd carry all the herbs because they had been quite lucky to have found a bunch from a sewer awhile back, but they weren't sure Melonpoppy would get that lucky out there.

They decided to use an old collar they found in the ground. It had a small barrel attached to it and Melonpoppy could wear it or just carry it with her. This way she could carry herbs and use them without losing any. Sure, it was a bit disorganized, but it's better than nothing.

While a few in the medicine den were putting herbs in the collar, the other three clans cats were saying goodbye to Sorrowfang, Koiwish, Gia, and Shadowpaw.

Their journey was yet to begin as the stars aligned for the five of them.
