There was pounding on the door and shouting. Parents? I lifted my head up and squinted to read the clock- 6:30.
They couldn't be here, could they?
"Alice!" "Alice!" "Alice!"
Nope. Wasn't my parents. I recognized the chorus of their deep voices. John, Paul, George, and Ringo.
I groaned. I didn't know if they were just fooling around or actually had something interesting to say. Whatever they wanted to tell me, they had to endure the sight of my beautiful self in the morning.
I wrapped my blanket around me and trudged out of bed, slugging to the door. I gripped the handle and dragged the door open slowly, only to see the faces of all four of them smiling and jumping.
They jump at the sight of me, but quickly hide it with their grins and laughs.
"Come to our room!"
"We have a surprise!"
The Beatles yell at me, disturbing whoever the hell is staying in this shabby hotel. I looked down to see each of them in pajamas, and their hair unkempt.
"ARE YOU FU**ING KIDDING ME I WAS SLEEPING!" I lean against the door frame, peeved, with my eyes drooping as seconds go by.
One of my eyes popped open as John spoke.
"Guess you don't want a place of your own then?" He smirked.
The others shushed him playfully, laughing giddily. I wondered what the hell made them so giggly. I had a bad assumption on what it was.
"Wait, my own place?" I asked, processing his words.
"YES!" I was tripping over my blanket around me as the Beatles dragged me next door to their room.

I stumble in to see Brian dressed nicely in his usual suit. He gave me a distasteful glance that I pretended to not see, trying to smooth my hair down or something.
"Alice, come sit." He gently commands.
The other boys rush to the table, taking all the other vacant seats. Paul looks back sleepily and smiles. He scoots over a little in his seat and pats the very minimal space for me to sit. I perch at the very edge of the chair, but I was still practically sitting on Paul.
"I don't know if this part of the story is to your delight, but we are staying in New York for a couple more weeks."
I didn't react at first. I kinda figured that the Beatles would leave the state and move on to their next tour stop right away. But then I realized they've been here for a couple of days already.
"How, what, why?" My thoughts tumbled out of my mouth. Paul laughed softly, which tickled my ear.
Brian explains to me that Shea Stadium was unbelievably successful, though he talked as if it were believable, because the Beatles are the Beatles. There was an approximation of 55,000 people who showed up and $300,000 were made.
I was shocked. This was probably the biggest concert of all time.
"Are you all right, Alice?" Ringo asks. I try and recover, nodding my head yes. Brian continued.
"Several arenas are asking for the band to play there, and the fanbase is going crazy here. The birds won't go to school- some sort of teenager strike- until the Beatles play again. We'll play a couple shows a week, and the boys can finish recording their album here in New York."
"Well, what does this have to do with me?" I asked, a bit confused.
"We can't stay in this hotel much longer, the fans and paparazzi are slowly sneaking up on us. We rented a condominium not too far from here- Meadowbrook Estates."
