After just sitting on the bench, in the park, she headed home, happily whistling all the way to the little apartment above a bakery.
Before she entered her stuffy room, all she managed to do, was feed her cat.
But the second she made it to her bed, she collapsed right on the mattress, and fell asleep immediately.
She was walking down a sidewalk, enjoying the morning. She was on her way to complete another mission.
"Parker!" Someone from behind her shouted.
"Huh?" Parker turned around to face a tall man in a black suit.
"Oh almost-boss, didn't know you were helping me with this." She chuckled at the annoyed coworker.
The man's face remained hard.
"I'm not here to help you. I'm here to replace you. They need you in the lab."
Parker furrowed her eyebrows.
They usually never needed her in the lab.
