Welcome to the second book in the series! I really hope you enjoy it!

July the 26th. Jamie's birthday. Ok, I can do this! I knocked on the door and Jamie answered.

"Hey." He said, leaning on the door frame, he had no shirt on. Ok, Y/n, keep it together.

"Hiya." I said back, he leaned down and kissed me, then he moved out of the way and let me into his room.

I sat on the bed, and he sat down next to me. He put his arm round my shoulders.

"So, how are you?"

"Y/n, you asked me that an hour ago." He pointed out. Jeez, does he have to notice everything!

"Ok, put a shirt on." I said, standing up.

"Why?"

"Because." He sighed and put a shirt on and I lead him through the palace halls. Ellie's parents let me stay for the summer, which was nice of them. I spent almost every day with Lottie, Ellie and Jamie, it's been amazing.

We went out to the garden and I walked to the lake, towards a picnic rug that I sat up earlier that day. Jamie hates his birthday, but a picnic won't do any harm, besides we do picnic's all the time. He won't suspect a thing! I let go of hand and sat down, he looked at me.

"Y/n, does this have anything to do with my birthday?" He asked, suspiciously.

"No, we do picnic all the time!" He rolled his eyes and sat down. I had laid everything out ten minutes before so it looks amazing. He reached for a chocolate strawberry and plopped it in his mouth. I grabbed a chocolate chip cookie and, oh my gosh, that tasted delicious!

We ate and talked till the sun was setting, which I planned. I love seeing the sun set as I'm too tired to see the sun rise. Jamie had his arm round my shoulder and I had my head on the crook of his neck.

"Thank you." He said.

"Well, your welcome. You deserve it, Jamie."

He smiled as he stroked my arm. "I love you, with all my heart." He said.

I grinned, that was kinda our thing. "I love you, Jamie, with all my heart."
