"Shane! Meeting in a few," Ryan reminded, stepping momentarily into Shane's office.
"Mm," Shane mumbled through a mouth full of iced coffee. "I'll be there!"
Finishing up his drink, he closed his computer, rushing to the meeting. He was the last one to arrive, though he was 2 minutes early. It was a full house, different from their usual conferences, and there was one person he didn't recognize there.
Though he didn't know the person, he still took the empty seat next to them and turned to Ryan, hoping for some sense of clarity.
"Alright team," Ryan announced, straightening his papers. "Because I have, unfortunately, decided to make a bet with Shane,"
"Oh! Is this about the demon season?" Shane interrupted, a huge smile on his face.
"I-yes. This is the demon season," Ryan continued. "For one season, which is usually between 6 to 8 episodes, we will be spending the night at different demon haunts in America."
"This is awesome! Where are we going?"
"Uhh, we'll talk about that later. For now, I'd like to introduce Y/N, a paranormal investigator with psychic abilities."
Y/N stood up from their seat, waving a "hello" to everyone in the room.
"Hi everyone!" they greeted. "My name is Y/N L/N, and as Ryan said, I'm a paranormal investigator and have psychic abilities. I'm a huge fan of your show, and I'm excited to be working with you guys!"
"Thank you, Y/N. Shane, Y/N is going to be on camera with us, so be nice."
"I'm always nice. Hi, Y/N, nice to meet you," Shane introduced himself, his hand out. Y/N shook it, a friendly smile, and Ryan finished up his briefing on the season.
The trio decided to travel to 6 different hauntings, many of which reside in New York. Everyone is dismissed, and Y/N prepares for their first video, meant to take place at the Amityville House in Long Island, New York.
