Ryan, unable to sleep in the same home as a demon, heard the creaks and echos of Y/N's footsteps. He jumped from his bed, clutching his Holy Water in hand.

In the crack of his door, he swore he saw Y/N walk by, and called out. No answer.

Terrified, he got out of his bed, watching Y/N walk downstairs. He blinked once. Twice. It wasn't an illusion, and he called out again.

"Y/N! Y/N, are you okay?"

Again, no answer. Unsure of what to do, Ryan ran to Shane's room and turned on the light, shaking him awake.

"Shane? Shane, tell me I'm not crazy, and that Y/N actually did walk downstairs."

"Hmm?" Shane asked groggily. "Y/N? Aren't they supposed to be asleep?"

"I dunno, I thought so!" Ryan said, continuing to shake Shane.

"Kay. Well, since you woke me up," Shane commented. "I'll go check on them."

Getting out of bed and rubbing his eyes, Shane took a quick glance at the clock. '3 am?' he thought, walking boldly downstairs, Ryan following behind. They explored the living room, kitchen, bedrooms, and bathrooms scattered throughout the ground floor. All the lights were on, in hopes of spotting Y/N wherever they are.

"Y/N?" Shane called. "Y/N? Where are you?"

"Y/N!" Ryan shouted. "I swear, Y/N if this is some prank I'm going to murder you!"

"You think they went into the basement?" Shane halfheartedly joked, but Ryan's silence gave him the unfortunate answer.

Ryan took hold of the doorknob, ready to open the door in case anything were to jump out at them. Shane stepped back, and Ryan swung the door open.

Nothing came.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ (TW STARTS HERE)
Shane took a peek into the basement, seeing a silhouette of a young adult. A young adult, holding a shotgun, the barrel pointed directly at him.
"Ryan get down!" Shane shouted, running out of the way.
*BANG*
The bullet narrowly missed Shane's head, hitting the popcorn roof instead. Crumbs of the roof fell, and Shane rushed to get out of the line of fire.
Y/N cocked the gun again, threateningly walking up the steps and aiming for another shot.
"What the fuck?!" Ryan shouted from behind the door, crouching down with his hands over his head. "Y/N? Shane, was that Y/N?"
"That. I?" Shane stuttered. "That's Y/N, but that's not Y/N!"
"Oh like a demon possession?" Ryan asked, serious and terrified.
Y/N walked out the basement door, walking upstairs, completely avoiding Ryan and Shane. The two looked up from their defensive positions, exchanging a look. What's wrong with Y/N?
Y/N made their way to the first bedroom on the ground floor. Ryan and Shane cautiously walked behind them, and Y/N aimed the shotgun, shooting perfectly in the middle at the pillow.
*BANG*
Cotton spilled from the pillow and a sharp breaking of the wood rang. Y/N cocked the gun again and made their way upstairs, headed to the next bedroom.
