A/N I just came across an old poem I wrote years ago and I thought hey maybe people will like it I don't know if you guys will or not but then I thought that I would know unless I post it. It's about equality, and There's also a famous quote at the end so please enjoy!!!!!!!

Education wasn't always important
Back in the days of old
Only the boys were taught to read and write
While the girls were only taught domestic skills
The men were taught all of the different trades
And men were superior to the women which gave them more rights
While women were inferior to the men
Men were the ones to rule the house
While the women were house wives and stay at home mothers
But as the years went by
People realized that if the children
Didn't learn then everything would come to an end
Then with that they sent the children back to school
Women started fighting for equal rights
So they could have the same rights as men
As even more years went by
Slavery came to an end
And African-Americans started to fight for rights and equality
They fought for freedom and for a voice to be heard
Now that more years have passed by
EVERY PERSON NO MATTER THEIR RACE
NO MATTER THEIR GENDER
NO MATTER THEIR SEXUAL PREFERENCE
ARE ALLOWED TO HAVE AN EDUCATION!
Now everyone has a chance to make their dreams come true
A there's one quote that everyone has heard at least once in their life
and that quote is by Martin Luther King Jr.
And that quote is .........

"I HAVE A DREAM......."
