Life is getting better now
That I can see it from a different point of view
Around the world there's pain and suffering
Some people can't even see that it's going on
I was once one of them
In the darkness I couldn't find
What I was looking for
But I didn't fall thru it all
I failed to die young
Instead I managed to rekindle my faith in God
I knew I couldn't let myself die without a fight
I knew my soul had started to burn
I knew it was heading to Hell
Then I threw my hands up
Asking God to forgive me for my sins
And he heard my prayer and He forgave me
Then He helped bring me back to life
The burning of my soul stopped
Then the darkness started to fade away
And that's when I knew I was meant to live
This poem was originally called "Young" However as I was finishing this poem I realized that The title "Young" didn't fit so I changed it to "Meant To Live" please comment your thoughts and vote! Thanks
